While in the process of helping my cousin do a head gasket and timing belt replacement, a live wire touched the ECU and left some burn marks on its cover.
We essentially want to know if anyone who owns a 97 gst or gsx and lives in the Inland Empire would allow us to plug in our ECU to see if...
After reading this response I remembered reading the following awnswer from Tuff4x4 on cargurus.
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t8186_ds573815
What is the relay module he is talking about?
Also, how does the ignition coil’s harness tie in with the MFI and the relay module in...
When you do jump this black test wire,is it safe to crank the engine to see if it will fire up, or is this test connector only intended to just rule out bad EFI and pump?
You’ve inspired me. One of the clerks at our San Bernardino 40th street Autozone has a 97 as well. I’m tempted to ask him to let me connect our ECU in his car, just to rule out a bad control unit as well.
I’m helping my cousin fire up his 97 GST.
After a head job and wire harness tuck, the fuel pump doesn’t get power. Cranks over has spark and no fuel.
Crank position sensor, trigger plate, plug wires and fuel filter are brand new.
Coil pack & igniter, MPI relays, CPS, Engine fuse, fuel pump and...
I finally got my car going once again thank god.
After not having a hit on this subject I figured the least I could do was to post my results. As I stated previously I have installed a 9 psi spring and a total of 7 shims, wich is the maximum number that can be safely be installed without...
I installed the red spring wich equals to 9psi and I also installed 7 shims + the plate that hold the spring in place. This is the maximum # of spacers I could fit in for the spring holder to stay in place.
The instructions do not make it clear how much boost will increase by adding a...
I'm installing an ACT 2600 and a new throwout bearing, fastener, ball (with a 1/8" shim) and fork on my 95 gst..
At this point I can't remember wich way the fastener spring is supossed to be facing.
Away from the fork or towards the fork.
Pictures anyone
I'm superduper low on cash and I went to the junk yard to scavenge for parts. The only DSM with an engine still in it was a 94 4g63 2.0 non turbo all the way in the back corner. I bought some sprockets, pulleys and timing belt covers. When I finished installing all this parts on my car after...
Thanks reason why I ask is because some friends of mine helped me install my head yesterday and we torqued the 7 bolt ARP studs on my car to 77 lbs using the included grease.
But the box listed a 90 lbs torque pressure using 30w oil.
So should I bring it up to an even 80

Bro!!!Just get a Greddy Type-S. You won't be disappointed since you are so concerned about what it will sound like, in my opinion it sounds way better than any stock Bov out there.I think that part of your problem is that your current Bov is dumping into the atmosphere :nono...
First off this is my Exhaust housing Note the little hole in question is where the exhaust fumes evacuate as the wastegate opens up.
You will be using an external gate so you need to get the a 3/8" thick O2 housing flange fitted with a single port opening at the turbine to block off the flapper...
I just installed my EVC V and no where in the user's manual does it say how to switch the displayed boost value from Kpa (bar) over to Psi.

I'm doing 90+ on the fast lane in the middle of the day with medium traffic flow on interstate 10 (4 lanes), all of a sudden I hear a loud thumping noise and five seconds later I'm holding on to the steering wheel correcting a hard left pull wich is about to introduce me to Mr. Center Divider...

Cool I just didn't know if spending the extra 3 bills was wort it because if I were to sell my S-AFC II I would probably get no more than $200.00 That would set me back about $150 cause I paid $350 installed.
Thanks I'm going to keep my eyes open for a MAFT set up. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
I STARTED USING LUCAS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO ON MY 180K MI ACCORD, THEN ON MY 145K MI LUDE WITH NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. I WOULD JUST ADD A FULL QUART OF LUCAS IN TO THE ENGINE BY FIRST ADDING 3.5 QUARTS OF 40W OIL, TURNING CAR ON FOR ABOUT 30 SEC THEN ADDING ADITIVE.
WHEN I TRIED IT ON MY 99K MI...
CAN YOU PLEASE ELAVORATE A LITTLE. I ALREADY HAVE A S-AFC II INSTALLED IN MY GST. I BOUGHT A GREDDY BOV AND I LOVE THE WAY IT SOUNDS WHEN IT VENTS INTO THE ATMOSPHERE ON MY FRIENDS CRX. AND THE CHEAPEST WAY TO ACHIEVE THAT IS A GM MAF & TRANSLATOR.
