This is on my galant. I have 450cc inj, with a 2g fp regulator. I swapped back to my 2g ecu to see if it was my evo ecu tune.....problem is still there with both ecu's. There is no smoke. Wideband is reading about 11.5 when this starts happening. It starts right about 6-7 psi 5psi is fine...
I am having an issue where my car will bog right down at WOT past about 3500 rpm. I dont have a log, but I am running 8psi. I am seeng loads up to 200 and airflow hz @ 1300. I suspect i have a boost leak, but i cant get the stuff to make a tester until friday. Anyone else have any ideas
An safc has a peak hold feature. I am not sure which button it is, but it can be turned off. I would thumb thru your instruction manual, or download it if you dont have it, to see how to switch it back.
If it truely is a 2.3 stroker kit, you will have a 4g64 crank, stock length rods, and the wrist pint hole on the piston will be 6mm closer to the top of the piston. Just take some measurements....a 4g63 has an 88mm stroke, and a 4g64 crank has 100mm stroke.
As far as the 9055 rom goes, disable the front o2 heater in the periphery. For 9563, did you copy over you maf size and scaling? sure you have the inj scaling correct?
I just coppied the values listed in the first post. These values put my trims within 10%, but then I rescaled using the how to on evom and they are now right at around 2%. Took me about 20 minutes to get it scaled right. Here is the ink to the post. How-To: Rescale your MAF (without pics) -...
Not a problem. On a side note, I was having issues with my evo ecu kicking a knock sensor circuit code and my cel as knock light would flash like mad anything over 2500 rpms. so I swapped my 2g ecu back in to see if it was an ecu issue. Once I plugged in and fired up w/ the 2g ecu, no...
I will be careful and keep an eye on my wb. I really wouldn't mind blowing it up, then it will give me an excuse to put the forged rods and pistons in that have been collecting dust for 2 months.
Hey Mork, I hate to sound like a mooch, but can I get you to send my your sd rom in its current state? I haven't been able to touch my car for the past two weeks, and am way behind on this. I would really appreciate it so I can catch up. Are you running a gm or jdm map sensor? My email is...
I was super lean on first startup with 9055 sd rom. I would use the 9563 v7 sd rom, but I can't get it to start with it. Actually no 9563 rom will allow me to start the car except the v5.10 you sent me.....the immob is disabled as well.......IDFK!! If you have a working 9563V7 sd rom or nonsd...
The mdp just reads pressure. You could always leave the ait sensor in the manifold and run a vacuum line from the manifold to the nipple on the mdp sensor. It should work just fine for your smog testing as long as they don't do a visual inspection. If there is a visual inspection, I would...
I just swapped over to 90550001 and was getting a cel for front 02 heater and fr generator circuit. I did disable the front 02 heater in the periphery and now I get no cel.I have found this rom to run the best on my car. Second would be 9927. 9563 v 5.10 runs ok, but i get a jerk here...
I'm running fine on 9927. 9563 idles for me, but as soon as i get into boost, it feels like i hit a wall and she breaks up pretty bad. I don't know what the hell is going on with that.
I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but I can not get 9653 to start in my car. I have diasabled the immob and still nothing. The only rom i can get to work is the one gsxdna sent me which is 9927. Someone want to email me one of ttheir working 9563 roms so I can give it a shot and compare to...
I'm running 9927 with no cel.....well i have an iac code, but thats because its unplugged. I'm not running a rear o2 and the ecu doesn't trip a code. I mean, its not even plugged in. As far as i know, to log wb w/ evoscan, it needs a serial output. I would imagine u could run it thru the...
Mike,Are you using the 96530006 rom with the tephra mods? If so, How is it running? Are you using 2g maf or evo 8 maf? Did you just copy and paste maf size, scaling, and smoothing over from the 99270000 edm rom?Sorry for all the questions, but I am currently running the 9927 rom...
Your galant has 3 ecu plugs which are identicle to the 1g ecu. PM DOHCstunr on thegalantcenter.net. He has done the swap and runs the same setup you are attempting.
I have an evoscan cable and can't get the damn thing to connect. I have tried a bunch of different versions of ecuflash, with cracks, and ecu unlocker.....no dice.
This may sound remedial, but does anything have to be done to a stock rod to run a forged piston? I know the pin is press fit from the factory, but once its pressed out, will the pins that come with the pistons slide thru the bore in the rod's small end, or does that need to be presed as well?
No flash connector. I added a pin in the ecu harness at pin 79 and wired it directly to the flash wire coming off my openport cable. I only installed ecuflash on my brand new laptop so there wouldn't be any possible conflicts, and still nothing
I just did the swap on my 2g. After installing the Evo ecu and swapping the necessary pins
(mainly pin 79 which is the flash port), I can't read or write to the evo ecu. I can log with evoscan tho.At first I installed ecuflash 1.4, but as soon as i tried to read the ecu, ecuflash would...
I got a line on some cheap 6 bolt 2.4L wiseco pistons. Only thing is I have a NT Spyder w/ 2.4l 7 bolt. I want to do a mild build. I want to keep the stock rods if possible. So i guess here is my question. Can I have the pin bore on the 1g wiseco's machined 1mm to fit the 22mm pin? If so...
you need a chip burner, i use a willem programmer and it came with the software. If you buy a reflashable chip, you can use it over and over again. Moates.net has them for like $10 the last time I checked. They also carry an Ostrich eprom emulator that will allow you to tune on the fly. Its...
I found a really good trick that works perfect for filing small gaps and makes the kit look OEM.....Once it is test fit, mark any small gaps with a marker. Pull off the piece of the kit. Mask off the areas where the gaps are (on the car). Then take some fiberglass reinforced bondo and goop it...
the 14b wastegate is only rated for 8 psi. If you connect a hose from the j pipe to the wastegate, that is all you will see. If you have the BCS hooked up and still only see 8psi, the BCS is stuck closed. BCS actually bleeds off boost to the wg so it opens later hence stock boost of 11-12 psi.
Thanks...i did search, but must have missed that one. I guess i will try it. Worst case if it does only read to 1.2 volts, I can change the output so that 1=20:1 and 0=10:1
This is on my 98 eclipse. I have been using evoscan for a month with no problems. I just need to find a way to log AFR along with the other engine parameters.
Can this be done? I have evoscan, so I can change the formula to log the rear o2 signal as AFR. I just don't want to potentially hurt the ecu. If this won't work, What about wiring it into the signal wire for the MDP sensor? I don't care about CEL, so it all good.
Unless GOD blessed your motor, your bearing are all toast. If you don't tear it down and check the crank and rod bearings, cyl wall, and cams/head, you are wasting time and money. Your compression is low because there is no oil on the cyl walls, which are probably scuffed/scored to all hell.
From the pic, it looks like the bolt has started to come out. Odds are, you probably didn't cut the bolt back far enough from mushrooming it. Tap the bolt back in until the head of the bolt is against the fork. Grind or file the bolt down a bit all around it, then smack it back through. once...
I realize that DSMLink is a great tuning solution, but if you have an eprom ecu, why not buy an ostrich and run Tunerpro RT? You get most of the features of link, at half the cost. Plus, you can always switch over to speed density if you desire. I run 11's in the 1/4 and that is what I use
