Hey guys, have any of you installed this hood on a 420a/turbo'd 420a? On the 4g63 a section of the hood needs to be cut for the timing belt cover. Is there anything on the hood that needs to be cut to clear the 420a? TIA!
I've never seen the snout key fail before, what a tragedy! Glad you are not giving up. Question for you too - what FCD did you end up going with? The symtech one didn't adjust the voltage for me at all, I sent it back to them and they haven't replied back for over a couple months. I'm...
The SAFC is a very poor band-aid. The ECU quickly learns when the MAP sensor is modified and soon goes back to its previous behavior. You'll find that the MS2 is probably your only adequate solution. It's interesting that the cams cause you to run rich at idle. How rich? I'm about to go...
Don't do it, this is the beginning of the collapse of housing bubble V2.0. Wall Street money is headed for the exit, and record low mortgage applications at these pricing levels mean houses are not being bought by families - they are too expensive. If you've managed to save 20%, you do not...
I stand completely humbled by your automotive prowess. I thought I had done a lot to my eclipse over 15 years of ownership, enough to justify not wanting to tackle a major project on it ever again. Then you have to go and weld up a hybrid chassis and the holes LINE UP. I get pissed when I...
First of all, I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. To qualify my next statement, let me first say I'm a licensed M.D. There is a great deal of medical information that is not divuldged in your thread, so for me to make an accurate assessment is...
This thread had me rolling! Actually I do remember "stage 1" from the 420a HRC-kit era. Can't count the number of times I've put on my front plate to get it a fix-it ticket signed off, only to remove it as soon as I left the police parking lot. Hasn't happened to me for at least 8 years now...
I have those, the came from topshopcarbon. Everything they made was amazing, have their headliner too. You might be able to convince they guy to make another set -> MONEY TALKS! Lost a few lbs on each door.
I program that easily with a picaxe 08m2 (8pin). Give the chip a 5v power supply, and have the input pin connect to a switch that sees 5V when pushed. Are you already making the board to hold it? The chip is only a couple bucks, how much is the programming effort worth to you?
Sorry but that's wrong and physically impossible. A standard electric motor's torque is enormous, and that's from idle. This can always be increased by upping the voltage, changing windings, diameter, etc... What you may be thinking is perhaps the efficiency is better than a standard electric...
Unless I'm missing something major here, this is a horrible awful design. They take a major negative aspect of internal combustion engines (reciprocating mass) and integrate that into an electric motor? This has nothing on the standard electric drive motors of today.
How early do you have to get there to find parking? Haven't been to MOD in a while, but last time I went it got so big I had to park at Vans even though it was still pretty early in the day.
That's so Knight Rider, I love it.And I just loaded my RS on a uhaul flat bed that they recommended for a 2g. It sucks. I have to take off the whole front bumper just to clear the thing. Technically I should also remove my oil cooler lines and the IC piping to fit it the way you are...
Original owner of my 99 RS here. However not much on the RS is still original. Most components are aftermarket except the steering wheel and rear seats!
The video shows a beating. It's black and white. There is no "skew", there is no "bias." The video/audio taken from the patrol car clearly shows a beating. Period.
Have you noticed any changes in mpg and coasting with that set up? And from a subjective viewpoint, does it "feel" like it presses down on the road at speed?
Yea that's unlikely. Most probable explanation is that he sustained some type of injury during the crash, resulting in a slow bleed. This forum is kinda getting a little crazy if it suspects foul play is involved. 45,000 people die a year in the U.S. from car accidents.
Scott generally speaking you need a high energy impact to cause an aortic tear. Like a car crash, fall from a building, etc. Though dissecting aortic aneurysms can occur without such an impact, they tend to occur in older individuals (barring this guy did not have Marfan's syndrome or...
Very sad. Yes he probably had internal bleeding, and there may have been a pre-existing condition that contributed. The car went airborn and so perhaps there was a large impact to the bottom of the car that you can't visualize. A high-g impact can lead to an aortic aneurysm, and the guy could...
Haha, see it works! The best example is how the genders view fashion. Men's suits have not changed much over a century. But women's fashion changes every year. They never want to feel that they are wearing something that is "played out", or "out of fashion". And women will always be first...
FYI - People who are concerned about things being "played out" are people who care more about what others think than their own personal tastes. I.e., they let others decide their tastes. Such people usually do not have testes. If you rock lambo doors, more power to you. The lastest lambo...
The most impressive aspect: Despite the blatantly obvious illegal Cali-smog law destroying modifications, it has current California tags. And that's how you do it gentlemen.
He will definitely need that lawyer. The facts surrounding this story could EASILY place him in prison. The action of posting the video is not the issue.
If you want to be frightened, watch the movie Communion at night, alone. UFOs + Christopher Walken = scariest movie ever.Communion - peeking alien - YouTube
Haha I have a dad like that! Sorry man, this is why our generation is inheriting a country with a f'd up financial system. These old people have zero sense of prudence.
I consistently wait until it's way past E, so that the needle is sitting on the bottom of the gauge and can't move anymore. And then I wait for the dummy light to turn on brightly for at least 30 more miles. Not just dim and on/off, but BRIGHT orange. I've heard all the opinions that this is...
Here in Cali it's rare to see tuners at all anymore. 10 years ago it was everywhere. Now, every car looks stock. And boring.I see another 2g maybe once a week. It's gotten to the point where there are more Ferrari's and GTRs on the surface streets than 2gs. Craigslist is a different...
Exactly, it's all about the owner. :thumb: Except for those cases when brand new Ferrari's spontaneously catch on fire, when it doesn't matter who drives it. LOL
