maybe on the 1g you could attach the section of the window surround to the targa panel. Although it probably would interfere with the windows when the doors close with the roof on unless the seal design was modified.
i was told this too, everyone with carbon parts locally has VIS, and a couple small importfan (GTP) pieces, the VIS look a little better than the GTP i've seen but the GTP pieces were trim and cooling panels which have small tight curves so i figured thety would be harder to do. The VIS cloth...
I would assume the easiest and most effective way to brace the roof would be to attach bars from the top of the A-piller to the top of the B-piller on each side. It wouldn't cut into the headroom as much as a full cage and still give you the open air feeling with all of the rigidity of the roof.
After almost 11 months of trying to buy a hood, and getting the run-around by various distributors and finally importfan themselves, there is no more TRD hood offered. It barely fit the N/T and was not able to fit the turbo. :notgood: looked nice though.
Hilarious. However, I don't see where it states that they are from a spyder, and from the terrible picture it is diffcult to tell for sure. Secondly, I have already contacted them, and third, i don't need front seats. thanks for your help. :thumb:
I'm sick of people saying lambo doors are played out. Right. I'll tell you what's "played-out", doors opening factory, like every single car on the road. Its good to be different. Now make your car's body something better than stock. :thumb:
Lambo doors belong on modified showcars, not stock rides. Otherwise, nice.. get the door jambs painted, rims, etc. Bring the rest of the car up to baller status and it will look 100X better. :thumb:
i've noticed alot of vette guys seem to be more interested in cleaning their cars then actually driving them. subsequently, they are the most informed on cleaning products. :thumb:
if you paint over any brake dust, chipping paint, grease, etc. its going to come out like shit. the insides of my GSR wheels were coated with baked-on axle grease and nothing was working on them, but i finally got them clean.I got a few cans of engine degreaser, sprayed them down (not a...
I didn't know people out there still are stupid enough to fall for the "$6k fully modded perfect import" scam.If your friend expects to pay 6K for ANY mark IV supra, it probably won't come with a motor, windows, doors, bumpers, or an interior... LOL!
Looks nice, other than the sides... Honestly those sides don't belong on the car unless theyre molded. They don't match up with anything and with the doors having the line also, there's about 7 horizontal lines on the side of the car that match nothing and look messy.I'd reccomend getting...
i would love for them to pimp my ride. the POS one rotting away in my driveway. So i can tear it down, part out their supplied $30,000 worth of stuff, and then buy important things for the other two "rides" i keep hidden in the garage, like built motors and turbos and suspensions and carbon...
Now why have they not come out with a subtle yet agressive lip kit for 1st gen talons and eclipses? theyre probably one of the most popular imports, and have a huge aftermaket following. it would frusterate me to no end that you can get 43 different lip kits for civics but zero for eclipses and...
Don't do it... you don't need a basket handle for your car with the top down. The only spyder this might look good on is a black car/ black roof spyder.shave it off! :rocks:
im rather annoyed with people bitching about them. if you dont like them don't get them. my kit opens wide enough to use the doors the conventional way, without having to flip them up or pull a pin or anything. if its windy, leave them down, be smart with them and keep them adjusted properly...
i had plans to put it inside the trunk, a couple shops told me they wouldn't and shouldn't do it because its unsafe. i then thought about the passenger side door jamb, looking into this because it seems to be an easy path for the gas neck.
actually, i dont know if youre anti-bodykits, but my favorite talon had a buddy club rear, drift sides, eclipse tail lights, black roof, and 97-98 talon spoiler in black. looked really really nice.
trust me, there's nothing "minor" about a tail light conversion. even if they have the same basic shape, (which the lancer tails DONT), youre not in for an easy one day project. It will take weeks. good luck.
If you want obnoxious, go for the ever-popular lamborghini orange, hideous WRX pale yellow, or the FAST AND FURIOUS lime green.
Terrible combinations you should never do:
Yellow and purple. Blue and orange. Blue and Yellow.Classy combinations: dark green, black, or white with tan...
i really think the black fabric cover will go better. i've never been a fan of cars that try to make the interior look like the exterior. there should be a distinction.. quality fabric too :thumb: im getting lots of good ideas from your sub setup. someday i will learn to fiberglass like that...
I am too, honestly, because i ordered it from importfan a very very long time ago.Did anyone ever find out what hood this is in the first post of this topic? i'm about to cancel my TRD hood order and get this one. I really dont want OEM and im sick of the double bulge one and the invader one.
i got an extra defroster button from a junker talon. I'm sure i'll find some type of use for it, i've heard of a few people who have used extra switches to create a brake-light kill button. Basically, its for highway use, if youre speeding and you pass a police car running radar, you can slow...
nice, im thinking about switching to the tan top. We dont have any apholstry shops locally so im going to have to drive an hour or so, but i found a tan one on ebay for $350 shipped.
i like the hood, it looks nice.
