It sounds to me like the solenoid is having problems disengaging. You may just need to replace the starter solenoid so that it retracts the starter gear completely.
I would pass that one over and keep looking. That car has been running for some time without recirculating the BOV while not being setup as a Blo-thru (bad news, can't tell how bad from a picture, but definitely bad) That is a good indication of how poorly the upgrades were performed. Also, the...
You 'may' be able to out run the officer's vehicle, but radio waves are tough to beat. Idiotic to attempt regardless.
Relatively inexpensive lesson all things considered 95eclipser.
When I imported my 99 GSX a year or so ago I had some slight modifications to do, one of which was the DRL's. I hooked them up to my fogs through the parking light relay which was sufficient for the inspector. I guess it all depends on who you take it to.
If the dent isn't on a metal fold you can try the compressed air/hair dryer method to see if it will pop back out. Heat the dent and surrounding area up really well with the hair dryer and then immediately spray the compressed air can (upside down) over the heated area. It may pop the dent...
I've emailed them asking for the 3" inlet as well. This is the only thing that is holding me up from upgrading my exhaust, I want a 3" system that I can have some control over the noise. The varex system is sweet just too rich for my blood.
I named mine Caroline because "sweet caroline" was first song that came the radio as I drove away with her. I named my other DSM Georgia because that's where the transmission came from that I used to convert her from AT to MT.
Cars must be given a name IMO
I recently picked up a 1000 watt tank circulating heater to help deal with the winters up here and I need some information about the cooling system flow for our 4g63 engines.I was thinking of hooking it up to the heater hoses as that seems to be the best spot for access, and the hoses are...
Well if you want to come big mountain riding there's some beautiful mountains out here, all of which have unbelievable board parks/pipes.Sunshine:
Banff hotels, Canada - Banff ski packages, Vacations, Ski Resort, Holidays, Snow Report, Web Cams and More.Lake Louise:
The Lake Louise Ski...
I couldn't agree with you more, I got a nice Pro-Tek helmet with headphones built in, which is much better than earphones because you can still hear what's going on around you. A helmet is a very wise choice for any riding conditions, but especially with big mountain and back country.
I rock a Never Summer Legacy (mid-wide), with K2 bindings and Burton Moto boots. The Never Summer is the best board I've ever ridden, and the Legacy is by far the best mid-wide board available for those with size 11+ feet.
Can't wait to get riding, I've already got my studded tires on my GSX...
I've had the P1105 error before and it caused my cars idle to run low, I've also experienced the "temporary fix" by resetting the ECU, but eventually (in a few driving cycles) the code would come back and the idle would suffer again. I had to replace the fuel pressure solenoid to permanently...
I drive my GSX in the winter with narrow studded tires and there's nothing like it for handling. I've been able to stop on steep inclines and have had little or no tire spin when pulling away, it's like cat paws.
I keep it as clean as possible, but we don't use a lot of salt on the roads up...
That's awful, I hope you get her back & in one piece.
I've had nightmares about losing my DSM, and she doesn't have near the amount of elbow grease invested as yours.
So I invested in this:
Car Lock - McGard: Innovative Security ProductsGood luck.
Drive from Calgary to Mt. Rushmore, get held up at gunpoint by customs officers (mistaken identity), import it back into Canada, have some more customs officers root through it for an hour (because I got it so cheap), jump through all of the hoops to get it legally imported/registered here in...
I use 10w40 in the summer and 5w30 in the winter, I think it's the best combination for our engines. You don't want the engine/turbo components running with cold molasses before they're warmed up.
It's a good thing to check for sure, it sounds like your clutch isn't disengaging properly. Have somebody push the clutch for you when you're under the car looking at the movement of the fork, also, check the fluid in your transmission, it sounds like it may be low as well. I had a problem...
I bought my first DSM at a police auction and when I got her home I had some serious maintenance to do before I would feel confident driving her. I flushed all fluids and cleaned all engine/drive train components, and I noticed she was smoking so I replaced the valve stem seals & lifters...
After one year of having it installed and using it frequently, one of the recoil cords broke and it wouldn't retract properly. I called the company up and without any hassle they sent me a complete replacement, no questions asked, and no need to return the broken one. Great customer service...
I agree with all of the suggestions here for a 2-way alarm, I currently have one on my car and it does the trick, but any alarm can be defeated by a professional thief in a short time, especially with the domestic indifference to hearing an alarm go off. I've opted for a little more security...
I'm astonished that KRS One has only appeared on lists here a couple of times, being that this is a thread for hip hop aficionados. Big up to those who named him #1
Fluke is by far the best name out there, but usually you won't require their level of precision. But if you're looking for the "best" look no further, I have a Fluke but I keep a $10 multimeter in my car toolkit.
No to instigate more animosity, but don't cut up another person's post, especially when yours is based on speculation as well.EVEN IF there was no concrete in the field, running a lowered EVO out off the designated road on to the grass at high speed was bound to severely break something...
I'm willing to show, preferably a long weekend and in or near the summer, that will give me time to touch up a few upgrades that I have in the works (waiting for the temp to rise so I can work on the ride).I've never been to Edmonton and there's a nice disc golf course there I would like to...
Yes, I have read the EVO forum and it clearly illustrates my point. These guys, or just Chris,
were ill prepared to handle the challenge from the skill and common sense side of things. Sure SpeedTV could edit the show to make them look like a$$es but it seems as though they gave the editors...
That EVO is a complete write-off. There's no way everything will fit proper again, even with putting it on a rack. I was shocked to see it happen but I laughed at the same time, the driver was such an idiot, his plan was to run it out straight into the grass instead of following the road...
In which case there may be something wrong with your stepper motor, the adjustments it makes should be gradual and consistent, rarely having to open the throttle plate enough to induce boost unless the speed falls below 5mph of the target range.
In any case, for the most part it's a useful...
OK, with the exception of using cruise control when climbing mountains, but who would do that anyways. On a level or near level surface it is far more efficient than using your foot.
One of the best ways to get better mileage is to use the cruise control whenever possible, cruise control will only open the throttle as much as needed to maintain speed, as opposed to our feet which will vary the throttle.
I've used mine as a tent when I go on an annual music festival, I fold down the back seats, move the front seats all the way forward and it's actually just as spacious as a two man tent, except this "tent" has a glass roof :)
Besides, a good tent is about $500, and that is a lot of money to go...
Well it doesn't take using the AC for the compressor to be active. The compressor runs when you have the windshield defogger on as well (HVAC dial turned all the way to the right). The compressor runs to dry the air and that could be the source of your random squeal.
That doesn't sound like a belt problem, what it does sound like is a problem with the power steering compressor. Try this and see if the sound persists; have the car running but stationary and turn the steering wheel all the way in each direction. Does that same sound happen?
I say you should make a trip state side to get one, preferably from the south because there will be less wear on it. The import process isn't very difficult or expensive. I was lucky enough to find one in bone stock condition with complete service records from the day it left the factory...
I'm 6'1" with size 11.5 boots, so I need something wide to prevent 'toe drag', most wide boards ride like rhinos so I did my research and landed on a Neversummer Legacy and wow is it ever sick... it's a mid-wide so it eliminates toe drag and it still rides like it's on rails, I've never ridden a...
