I can appreciate what youre saying but my goal is to go as fast as I can without the aid of multiple aftermarket parts or custom modifications. I am running stock cams and cam gears so I cant do much with that. Now that I have a transmission that will shift, and handle the power I am making...
All I have done is port the stock waste gate and ported the turbo housing to match the FP manifold. As for shift points I only rev to 8k, until I upgrade my DSM link since my second stage turns off at 8k.The car feels strong all the way to 8k I am not sure the car will make much more...
Naw I am good, I really believe with a 300 shot I should be in the 9.6-9.4 range. The first time out I went 10.1 and I think just changing when and how much NOS is applied could get me a high 9. with out even changing from the 200 shot. IFO Tucson is right around the corner so we will have to see.
Here is the name of the thread and it has a video of the build for the mirage.5th gen 4g63 swap drag car compleThe Eclipse race weight was 2493 without driver and a standard trans. This car had all Lexan windows no interior and cut all to hell with only a 6 point cage. The Mirage weight...
Hey everyone,Here is an update on where I left off about 5 years ago. I swapped the motor out of my eclipse and put it into a 5th gen Mirage. This helped with weight savings without gutting the car and keeping me legal to race in FWD class at IFO. I have just recently converted my car to...
There is a front motor mount you just cant see it in the pics. The car did great. On one stage at 30% which is a 72hp shot of NOS the car ran a best of 11.04 @132. In my eclipse on a single fogger set up it would take a 180hp shot to run that same number. As I figure out how to apply the...
Whats a "front roll stopper"?I usually race at firebird and sometimes speeworld but the IFO event is in Tucson on sunday feb 20th 2010.I got all my parts in and rebuilt my trans so i am ready and will be going.
Thanks GuysI didnt know what kind of response I would get from the car but our whole effort is to go and compete with the Hondas that are running in the 8s and 9s. We what to be out there running against them and having some fun while doing it.I am still testing the car with the...

I get the clutches from my vendors and I have a few on hand. I have only made 4 passes on it but so far it has shown to hold the power ok.My first built motor lasted 7 years and had 483 miles on it and every mile was at the track. So I would say it had more than 400 passes on it...
We are working on the AWD in between working on customers cars but we have been so busy that I have not had a chance to put it together. The motor is built and ready to go but I still have to put the cage in. I am hoping to have it done before the first of the year but I will have to see how...
The Fly wheel is an ACTSorry no pic's but the dyno video shows the exhaust pretty good you could use that as a referenceI don't think that it would work with a muffler but you can try.
The biggest change was going to the act 3200 clutch with a special type disk that I had made which can handle no lift shifting. My biggest issue is as soon as I shift I am at full power and the clutch just won't hold the power. If you watch the video of me running 10.93 in one of the first...
We are building one next and it should be done by the end of the summer. It isn't as necessary to run a built trans if your shift points are 6800 rpm just another benefit to running NOS. I am able to make power pretty early usually over 500 hp around 4000 rpms. It would help to have a...
Read the thread 11.1XX on a T-25?? and you can get most of what I try to explain.ThanksEngine build is the same as if it was going to run 40 lbs. Nothing special about it. With NOS if you keep everything close to stock you can make more power with less headache. It is a lot easier to...
Here is a video update to this thread 11.1XX on a T-25??video link of passYouTube - T25 NOS eclipse 10.69!!!video link of dynoYouTube - T25 NOS Eclipse Dyno
I don't always use the bottle and sometimes I only use the bottle at half track so, I still need somthing to keep the air cooled.Normally nitrous takes care of the air charge to be cooled... u should touch our intake manifold after a 10 second pass......:)oppsShortydtp
Not yet I want to get as far as I can with the stock T25 and NOS. Since I am not at my goal of a 300 shot of NOS I don't want to give up on the T25 yet. I do have an new clutch coming and I am hoping that it will hold the power of a 240 shot @ the speedworld event on June 30th. If it does I will...
I won't post what I need to tell you on here but if you want to know you can e-mail me [email protected]. I will give you a general explanation but I can't give you all of my secrets.
I am on the stock 10lbs an the turbo is the same one that came with the car turbo has 58k on it and has never been replaced. read the thread 11.1XX on a T-25?? in the drag strip forum if you are interested in my explaination.
Hey everyoneMy name is Brandon and I am the owner of the so-called BS car. After shorty told me about this thread I figured I better post something just to help everyone get a better understanding of why I still use a stock turbo. It's CHEAP and I can go fast with it.I can make...
Thanks for all of the support. It was definitely a personal best-but I wouldn't call it a world record(although that would be nice)! :) P.S- I do not weigh 190lbs-thanks Shorty for making me sound fat!
Hey GuysI didn't even know this thread even was around anymore last time I logged on it was no longer here. I have been very busy working on customers cars. Since this thread came out I have been spending time on my streetcar which is my spyder and turning it into a AWD and I got my race...
Ok everyone here it is the videos of some of my passes. Just copy and paste the link to see it.This link will show a video of my 11.14 @ 127 mph :thumb:http://videos.streetfire.net/video/index.asp?fileid=8260699E-9D2E-4064-84D4-026A52FF0C44This link will show video of a pass that...
So your timing should be around 10 to 12 degrees advanced at W.O.T. That should be good for 20lbs of boost and a 35 shot. If you use a 50 shot or more I would set your timing around 8 degrees advanced at W.O.T. Let me kow how it works out. :thumb:
Is your timing at 0 degrees at idle or at wide open throttle? Also you really dont want to retard your timing passed top dead center. 15 degrees advanced timing at W.O.T. is a bit much for 21 lbs in my opinion, even though you have a great build up. A safe play would be around 11 degrees...
If I were you I would start off at a 35 shot then work your way up. Learn how to drive on the bottle first then up your shot to a 50 shot then a 75. This way you will learn all of the things your car will do on the bottle. As for boost pressure I run around 12 lbs because I don't have a boost...
If anyone want's to see my car run I will be at Firebird race way on Friday Feb 4th from around 6pm to 11pm. On that night I am also going to run an 80 shot off the line +120 half track :D This should get me in the high 10's. :thumb:
No, believe it or not, that turbo has over 50K miles and has seen over 600 passes on the bottle. The turbo still has no shaft play and spools up perfectly(up to 10 lbs). External dump helps keep the pressure off the turbo. Since I shift at 6400 RPM's, the turbo doesn't see that high of...
