Small update... An old friend of mine replied to my ad online where I posted on Kijiji (Canadian buy/sell marketplace) looking for info on my old Spyder. He said he was actually browsing online looking for it as well LOL!He actually went to school with the son of the owner of the shop it was...
Well the shop that did the work on it last November is 25 miles away from my home. The last owner I was in contact with in 2007'ish lived in the same area so it's either the same guy or it went to a new owner in the same small town.I've sent the owner from 2007 an email yesterday asking if...
I just hope the owner contacts me so I can get on the radar.A bit of back story: I had it for sale in 2005 for a ridiculous amount of money. No surprise it didn't sell and I was okay with it. One evening I'm out with a buddy (car is at home) and we're at the pub having a few. He says he wants...
I received a reply from the shop that did the work a few months ago:Seems like the engine is done and it's sitting in storage...
The shop employee will be in contact with the new owner to let them know I'm asking about the car and I also have many photos and the story on how it was imported...
Holy crap! Thanks for the CARFAX suggestion! I ran the report ($45)It was all registrations/renewals (no names/cities just provinces) and wasn't looking hopeful until the very last entry dated Nov 11th 2019 (3 months ago) and it went in for servicing. The record showed the name of the garage...
Hah! That's the exact roof issue! It's too funny to finally hear someone else know exactly what I was trying to describe!I know the hardtop is sportier, lighter, better all around but the Spyder was it for me
Hello all! This seems like a great forum keeping DSMs alive!A bit of an odd post here but... I'm looking for my old 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GST.History
I sold it in Ottawa in 2006 and has passed through a few owners since but I lost track of it.
-Rebuilt title (theft recovery)...
It's totally true!!I had a 95 ESi w/ Injen CAI and Thermal R&D exhaust.........it helped a bit but I realized if it was speed I was after then I'd have to get a turbo model.Selling that ESi and buying the GS-T was the best/smartest descision.
OMG!!!Just installed the Eibachs Sportlines (which are meant for a normal FWD GS-T)I went down waaaaayyyyy more than a 1.6 drop as advertised. Before I had the usual 2.5-3" wheel gap when the stock springs were on. Now I can barely fit one finger between the tire and fender lip :cry...
Prokit or SportLines, I guess they'll both fit eh?The car has ridiculous wheel gap now. Eibach doesn't make a spring for the Spyder.Doesn't seem like anyone has any for the Spyder. I'm just worried that the back end will sag too much. It's only 180lbs? more than the hardtop GS-T, is it...
Any luck with finding those springs?I bought a set of Eibach Sportlines and had to return them. The handout/important notice inside the box listed all the different DSM's they would fit and listed the Spyder as not being acceptable for these springs :cry:Can any Spyder owners list the...
