^ You say that your $37 dollar bumper sucks, but it looks more like you haven't trimmed it enough for your intercooler and is thus making it appear to fit poorly.I'm pretty sure we have the same bumper and it fits quite well on my car.
This.If all else fails, take it to a local tire shop and have them take off.DO NOT try and get them off with a hammer and a socket. You WILL damage things and end up causing more of a headache.
I'm be curious about a beam comparison between these and oem headlights, and of course the fitment as well.If he's swapping on a new bumper at the same time, fitment issues may partially due to the bumper.
Sorry. Just woke up. I'mmmmmmmmmmm dumb. ha ha.You're right about the false floor though, the rear seats do not weigh much, and it would be hard to construe this as a weight savings project.
There is a huge thread on changing your interior lighting to led's. Not something for the weak of heart.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/271195-gauge-cluster-led-project.html
This is a good point.Jknorr, your best course of action would probably be to buy a dremel and a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" mdf and go from there. If you can get that made, you could have something cnc'd from your master.
It's a bit late now, but you can catch your door trigger/trunk trigger, as well as parking lights & tach wire behind the cluster. When you got the 7 flashes, had you actually set the car up for remote start? In order to do this with the new dei stuff, you HAVE to come to a stop with footbrake...
So, decided to do something a little different. I have a ddin nav unit installed, but wanted to put my other headunit in my car because it sounds a lot better and gives me a lot more control over sound (Time alignment among other things). Here's the progress I made today -The vent area...
RedTurboEclipse: If you're using an aftermarket alarm, you're going to be using it to arm and disarm the car, thus locking and unlocking the car. There has never been a time where I wanted to lock the car without arming the alarm.Obviously this isn't for everyone, but for most it works just fine.
More details needed.Stock deck or aftermarket?Factory infinity amp? Aftermarket amp?If it has the infinity system, has the amp been bypassed?Did the tweeters ever work?Do you own a multimeter?
Raamat is a cheaper alternative, roughly 135 shipped for 63 square feet.Just find what rattles and put something in between it. Jute (sp?), a shredded carpet time material is fairly inexpensive.
In order to run the stock deck well you need to run the stock amp. The problem is, the stock deck only puts out a low level signal which isn't enough to even run the stock speakers at a decent level, hence the stock amp.Since the factory amp is bypassed, there is not reason to go back to stock.
Clean96Gst: You need to buy a multimeter, even if it's a cheap one. Test for constant power, accessory power at the radio harness and then test for a good ground. Like I said before, the cig light ground works just fine.Josh: Almost all harnesses at my shop are 22 bucks. The mitsubishi one we...
I work at a best buy, just not the everett one.As far as how much I'd charge, it's hard to say without seeing how bad things are under the seat. One question, you do have the factory radio brackets, right?Agreed, if I didn't have a discount on them I'd just buy them online.
If you're trying to get the stock deck to work, it won't unless you unbypass the amp.As far as getting it to power on, like I said, check your fuses. Do you own a multimeter? Or even a test light?
It looks like they bypassed the stock amp. That would be what the "2nd" harness is.Honestly it doesn't look like a mess to me. The only thing that is potentially bad are the red and black wires running under the radio that I'm guessing are for neons.Check your radio fuses, and make sure your...
That's why I do a sparewell enclosure on every car I own that I put a system in. That and a false face for your radio do wonders. What they don't know exists, they can't steal.
The problem with doing that is that usually cig sockets have a fuse built in to the tip, if you cut that male end off you will be running the lights unfused, and you could end up causing serious problems/fires if they should ever go bad.Go buy a cig lighter extension plug, cut off the female...
Glassing is worth it, but I don't recommend it unless you've got someone to teach you how to do it.This was before I started on my false floor, dynamatted, and put my 4 channel in.If you do it right, you can only lose about 3" of trunk height.
I appreciate your help, but a couple points -1) I recently replaced the battery, and that is not the problem. As stated, with the previous alternator, I could turn the car off while on the freeway, and my voltage gauge would go UP.2) There is practically 0 possibility of causing a car fire...
Update:Replaced alternator #4 last night. Checked wiring and everything seems fine. No power steering leak. One thing I didn't think of until last night was that I had an exhaust leak that I fixed last week. One of the 4 turbo manifold bolts had backed itself out about an inch and a quarter...
Thought I'd give you guys an update. Turns out it was the isc. Tested it with a multimeter and one of the coils was shorted. Replaced it last night, and car starts and idles/fast idles just fine. BISS screw was really loose too.
