Just installed the new knock sensor. When I took the old sensor out it was gooey and was partially coming out, so I assume it was bad. Took the car for a ride after the install and for the first 4 miles or so the car was driving great, but the knock counts were still fluctuating into the 20's...

the car is completely stock. a knock count of 43 would be extremely unlikely on a stock car. there have been no mods to the fuel or intake systems which is what leads me to that it is phantom knock not real knock. so solutions for symtoms will most likely not work. the car uses 93 octane fuel...
