Pretty much. I do't know if there is any differece in some of the connectors, the way the solenoids work, ect.. It would be nice if it is as easy as wiring the three plug tcu up.The ohm difference between the solenoids won't matter?
I am in the process of doing a manual to auto conversion. I have most everything I need, but the donor car's harness as been cut. The donor transmission is from a 94 and used 2 plug tcu. I have both a two plug and a three plug one available, would like to use the three because it is an eprom...
If there is a failure rate, than there would be a certian point at which it will become more common, or an average point. I do totally understand the fact that there are a lot of other variables in place, but in most cases it's appeares to happen mid 30psi.Perhaps "super power" was not the...
There are a lot of racer tricks that are not published when running times like that. You don't give out all of your secrets when trying to be competitive and running record breaking times. The L19s were thought of then, may have not been called that exactly, but better fastener technology was...
I don't think you are fully aware of the situation as you lead yourself to be.ARP head studs have failed at those pressures in the past, a lot. Why do you think the A1 head studs become popular? I can tell you it wasn't just marketing. You are fooling yourself if you really think those guys...
I love this idea! I am by far from an electronics expert, but there must be a very simular way to do it in a newer infinity radio by using the tape deck input on the circut board. Can anyone elaborate further on this?
I thought it could have been a messed up rom/flash so I reflashed the stock rom back into it, reset everything and tried again with no luck. The CEL is annoying but I can deal with it.
Has anyone had any luck disabling the CAS codes with a USDM rom? Been having issues with the rev limiter on 9653 and trying to switch back to 9417. I copied the periphery data from the EDM rom but no success in stoping those codes.
FP68hta. Lucas is running 10s on it in race form. I'm sure you can easily run mid to high 7s in the 1/8 with it on pump and high 6s on race. What is your best 1/8mile to date?
What is your car actually getting for mileage? Reset the tripometer next time you fill up, then when you fill up again divide your mileage by the gallons u put in. Without knowing exactly what you are getting for mileage there isn't any hard proof to base it off of.You should be getting...
Something I have always wanted to see is a direct fit chromoly 6-8-10 point cages for the 2gs at a reasonable price. And perhapes a dash gauge kit for the use of aftermarket gauges.
Well, it will come a time when i will repaint my car, and I was wonder, what color do you guys suggest. I was thinking gray flames on a white(like the go around the hood, probably look really good). But then i had this crazy idea with going with a laser red and doing some fancy design in black.
If you are running dsmlink, i would recommend against a maft. You will just be making things more complicated than they should be. The 2g maft will handle 50lbs/min. 1lb/min equals out to about 10hp.You don't need an o-ring head for 500hp. arp studs and a stock composite gasket will...
I have run a 7.28@96 mph in the 1/8 with my green on pump gas and about 25 psi. 1.60 60ft. This was at a humid 80 degree weatherLast year I ran a 7.34@99mph at about 28 psi. 1.79 60 ft. Probably about 55-60 degree weatherWith meth injection I ended up dynoing out at 502hp and 454...
Living in Maine, you learn a few tricks. I have always used Evercoat's Undercoating. It is the best. Use a decent wire brush(on a wheel with a drill, air tools work best), clean up all of the flaky stuff, and then coat the area and the whole undercar with the undercoating. Works wonders.
I recently bought another dsm and it came with a turbo I can not identify. At first I thought it was a t25. But when I started to look at it more closely, I figured out I hadn't a clue what I have. It has oil and coolent lines like a mitsubishi style turbo. There are no markings on the...
Any of the popular domestic v8s will out perform any of the other options you listed for the money(302, 351, 350, 427, 454 the list goes on). Hard to compete with domestic muscle.
Dynoed over 350 with stock 7 bolt internals, blew up next dyno run after that.So far I've only pushed my 6 bolt with forged internals to 420 on the dyno@24 psi. Pushed it a little further than that on the track before.
I've been using Pennzoil for over 3 years now. No problems what so ever. I don't drive my car easy either. Kicks the crap out of the 75-90 the owner had in it before me.
What do you plan on running for a turbo, boost, rpms and such?I would suggest just running the stock 2.0 with arp headbolt. I'm sure this would last you a while at the power you want to make.As for a stroker, you can easily get either a used 2.4 crank or a remain one pretty cheap...
Wow, congrats!Naturaly, I'm kinda sceptical. I'm VERY suprised you arn't running meth injection. But, time will show. It will be an inspiration to us all to run 9s on pump with a dsm. Are you doing any sort of weight reduction? Noticed you didn't have a wing on there. Do you have an...
What happened to DSMers actually willing to test things out? If I didn't already have a good BOV, I'd buy it just to test it out regarldess of what some people say. Dejon has been around since before I got into dsms. I think they may have been doing business since before tuners was up. The...
You would want your intake ports decently smooth, not rough. Remember, not only are we dealing with multi port injection, but a turbo charged engine, so atomization is NOT a problem. As far as how much to port, I wouldn't take to much off judging by your mods. People run 10s in the 1/4 on...
I've used ACT for years without any problems. Made well over 100 passes at the track, and countless beatings on the street with my 2600. I'm just now replacing it. Overall, i'm impressed with ACT.
As long as you go with a good brand (i.e. Moog), aftermarket parts can be better than stock. Moog offers a lifetime warrenty on all of their chassis parts. Thats what I use.
