  1. ECMlink Conservative tune, looking to move forward

Thank you for the response. I am definitely putting in the time and effort to get it mechanically sound, as I have spent countless hours and dollars in the past weeks trying to get things right. Vented BOV should be remedied very soon, and the thermostat has been changed. I will post an updated...
  2. ECMlink Conservative tune, looking to move forward

My apologies for very few pulls and not hitting the higher RPMs, I dont have much highway space around here. Although I swear my tach showed me hitting 6k+ on at least one or two of the pulls? Strange

  7. 1G Car basically dead

I will do a more thorough check today. Could a bad boost leak cause 9.5 AF and literally next to no power? When I say no power, I mean I can only reach 10mph
  8. 1G Car basically dead

I have fmic, wide band 02, correct ngk plugs gapped properly, turbo back exhaust, safc tuned. All has been well until today, but on the way to work i stopped at a light and when i went to accelerate there was almost zero power at all, like none. My autometer gauge showed normal boost but the car...
  12. Plasti Dip

good to know. i would be concerned about hand washing, as it seems likely any debris might scratch up the dip when wiping with a sponge or mitt.

  19. 2G Fuel injector difference

More ccs will support more hp. Very useful for when upping the boost substantially.
  20. Plasti Dip

Yeah on rims I would use it. Ive seen some brand new expensive sports cars that choose to do their whole cars though.

  24. What Would You To Pass Emissions (Attached Results)

Add some methyl hydrate to your gas when you are less than half full.

I've had some friends complain their plastidip would show scratches after washing their cars, even carefully. Perhaps their painting was not done well
  26. 1G random car dies when hitting brake hard and when cruising

I have heard of an occasion when it was the prime suspect of some frying
  27. typical problem, input requested

Hi there. I noticed recently that when i hit boost it feels like n/a power levels. There is very little pull. The autometer gauge still shows normal boost for the most part with it spiking higher than usual occasionally. I have boost leak tested to no avail

  43. High rpm issue

I recently took my bone stock 1991 TSi and added a handful of items such as FMIC, 255 pump, wideband o2, turbo back exhaust, intake, MBC @12 psi, boost gauge and SAFC. For some reason when I hit around 6k rpms the car will backfire and hit a wall....no boost leaks, but it does spike to 15-16 psi...
  44. New old member

After a 10 year hiatus from DSMs I now have a 1991 Talon TSi again. Happy to be back!
