First, just want to say thanks to Paul Volk on here for the crossmember.Just a backround on why I opted to get this piece. I do not do any sort of autocrossing or any racing that involves turning extremely hard. Pretty much all my racing is in a straight line. The stock crossmembers were...
I have found that I did the calipers backwards. I will be fixing this in the next month or so when I have time, and will update the pictures.I stated that the bleeders should be down. But after talking with others, and researching, I now believe the bleeders need to be at the top. Reason...
You can view the dyno sheet by following the link. It was SAE corrected power, which displays a lower number than if it were to use the STD corrected number. I typically use a Dyno Dynamics though, which last time I was on it I made 541 there. Around a 16% difference between the dynos.There...
Ran a new best time, and new best trap of 137 this weekend. Stopping power was noticeably better with these brakes over my stock ones. The car shook real bad, and was a little scarey to slow down on the stock ones. These ones stopped the car smooth as can be. I love them. Once I actually...
Ran a new personal best. This was around 32psi on a T3 .70 S362. Car weighs 3040 w/out driver. Still has full interior, air conditioning, etc. Not much weight reduction done to the car. Car was knocking bad as I believe one of the fuel pumps died on me. So still has a lot left in it once I...
This thread will show you what parts you need, and how to install, 94-04 Mustang Cobra front rotors (13") and calipers (2-piston PBR) onto a 1G. The process should be very similar to do this to a 2G. The exact car that this was performed on in the pictures is my 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. This...
I'm over on the Link forums. My name over there is jkodis. I have quite a few logs posted over there. Don't really feel like taking a screen shot right now. On the street I usually see 35psi by 5200rpm. This is on a 2.0L, with 272 cams, JMF Race SMIM, Evo8 MAS, S362 .70ar. There are so...
SO you guys looking for local meets. Any of you heading to MAP's event up in Brainerd in a couple weeks? I'm hoping to be there, racing. I'm pretty excited!!Again, more details on that can be found on DSMStyle.com
Have any of you signed up on Style and started a intro thread? If so what is your names? If not, then well... hmm.... I don't know what more we can really tell you.
I have the PLX M300 and it's been great for me, easily loggable with link.My roommate has an RX7 and uses an LC-1 combined with a Dynotune gauge:
Square Wideband air fuel gauge, velcro anywhere, size of a keychain remote. Wideband air fuel ratio gauges help tune engines! Innovate wideband...
Here's my pics of my 4.3~5k miles, 8-10 launches, 4-5 months of part time use. I'd hardly say I abused this. Mainly just saw from roll highway pulls.Enjoy:
Nice build. That turbo should easily get you to 700hp. Another 5psi and I'd be knocking on it's door and I'm only on a S362.Can't wait to see how she does!
I coulda sworn that I seen higher numbers when I was purchasing this, otherwise I would not have ordered it.Here's one example:

Well considering I have no time anymore, I am having a shop put in my new clutch. My new clutch is going to be an ACT2900 PP w/ a Clutchnet sprung 6-puck clutch.Anyhow, the shop got the old clutch off today, and holy crap. I will post up pics once I get some. The disk is absolutely shot. I...
Only new updates I have are that I have a new cluthc (ACT 2900 / clutchnet 6-puck disk) on the way, and should be ready for next track day on the 31st.
I honestly can't tell you how much boost I was making off the line. I hardly remember much from the runs at all. Too many nerves since it was my first time. All I can tell you is the light turned green, and I just went. That's really all I remember haha.As for the dyno:I made 541AWHP...
Well just an update. My 4.3 is still holding good power. I never really launched it before though. It hated launching today. 3 out of my 6 pulls I had to shut down because every gear after the launch, the clutch would just slip. :( sad because I was liking this clutch so much, but what...
Wow, today was amazing. It was my first time at a track, ever. Never even been as a spectator before.Had some veterans there to coach me a bit.Started off with a couple high 13's, dealing with how to launch, clutch slipping issues, and missing gears. Then had a run where the clutch...
619 on a Dyno Dynamics is some serious power. If no correction factor was used, that'd be right around 700hp on a DynoJet. Awesome numbers!! It should have quite a bit more in her though.
Update, I put my car on a DynoJet and made 628hp. This clutch is still hanging in there. 4.3 hasn't slipped yet. I haven't done many launches on it though, just some from roll spirited driving.
700hp on what dyno? I always ask that now because it's pretty obvious that they differ quite a bit depending on what dyno it's on. If it's on a DynoJet, then that should deffinately be achievable. If I ever decide to bump mine up to 40psi, I'm sure my 362 would be right there knocking on...
Just to prove that this was a very low reading dyno, I went to MAP and threw the car on their AWD DynoJet for just 3 quick pulls.Amazing how different these dynos really read. On my car, the Dyno Dynamics read 16% lower then the DynoJet.Here's my DynoJet numbers:
Again, what works for Car A doesn't always work for Car B. I'm 5psi higher then you. How is your charging system? I'm still on the stock 91 alternator from the factory. Could that also be enhancing my issue? It's possible. There are other variables to take into account other then just peak...
That guy Aaron's (turbotalon1g) referring to is me. He knows the issue with my car, because he knows me and my car. We already took the simple things into consideration.Just because Car A made X hp on a stock ignition, doesn't mean Car B will. Every car is different, there are variables...
The first issue dealing with the nuts and the O2 housing, I've ran into that also. Some of the vendors "dimple" the pipe right where those nuts go on, which IMO is what every vendor should do. If it's not dimpled, and the nuts can't spin, then what good is it.If I were you, I'd take the...
I've had the Fidanza 4.3 installed for close to a year now, although the car doesn't see year round driving. Probably a good 4k miles on it. No complaints from me yet.Just put down 540 AWHP on a low reading Dyno Dynamics (putting it on a dyno jet tomorrow for comparison sake, should be over...
If you push 30+psi out of the 61mm turbo (even with a mitsu housing), I think you should have enough power to be right on the verge of breaking into the 10's. Mid 10's may be a far stretch on a mitsu housing. Driver experience, vehicle weight, and traction will also be key factors as well...
What I was getting at is E85 does an excellent job of preventing knock. But in my experience, that doesn't mean you just simply keep adding more timing simply because you aren't knocking. With E85, since it's so good at preventing knock, it allows you to run a LOT of timing. That doesn't mean...
Man you guys run a lot of timing. Different strokes for different folks, but I like leaving a good safety margin considering my car is driven every day it's nice out, not track or competition only.E85 is excellent in preventing knock, but IMO that doesn't mean just keep adding timing until...
By running a larger exhaust housing, you may lose a few RPM's in spool time, but it should help you make higher peak HP numbers.Switching from a Mitsu exh housing, to a T3 housing, well there is no set price. There's various avenues you can take. You'll need a way to bolt up the new turbo...
23* of timing? That alone must be building up quite a bit of pressure in your cylinders. While I was street tuning, I had my timing set to 20*. On the dyno, we backed the timing down to 17* and hardly saw a power loss, so we left it at the safer level of 17*. For my personal application, I...
If you're having idle issues, and you have boost leaks, that should be your first area to attack. Once you are leak free, then start digging around elsewhere. Ensure your idle position switch is functioning. Remove your ISC and test it. Don't just slap someone elses in there. If your ISC is...
What dyno are you aiming for these numbers on? There's a world of a difference between 500 2WHP on a dyno jet, and 500 awhp on a dyno dynamics. Hitting mid 500's on E85 or some form of leaded race fuel on a dyno jet is fairly easily accomplished.
I'm at 35psi, over 500hp, and I'm still running an OEM composite gasket with standard ARP's. It's not just the gasket, but the gasket / fastener combo. ARP studs and an OEM composite gasket go a long way. L19's if you're really going to be pushing a lot of power.
I will put up a log from the run hopefully tomorrow. Also, added a little video to the first post, that we made real quick from the footage we got that night
The local dyno that I went to is in fact a very low reading dyno. It's an AWD Dyno Dynamics, which apparently is typically about 15% lower then an AWD Dyno Jet. My numbers are always low because of this, and I typically hear crap about how my car makes low numbers, because many don't...
