hmm i dont think so. i'll doulbe check though. i switched my power/ground wires, and now the needle dropped back down past 0. my neighbor who is an electriction, and is pretty hands on with his jeep thinks i had my power and gorund switched, so once my car cools off a bit I'm going to go put...
ok so i took out the autometer sending unit, and left the gauge powered so its still reading 100+ psi. im gonna try working with the gorund wire and see if that helps. i powered the gauge by splicing into the LED's ground/power lines.. could that be my problem?
i just did the whole electric oil press gauge install thing. i turn the car on and the needle shoots over past 100 instantly. did i install the sender in the wrong hole?
i dont even rememeber who posted the original question, but this is to you: you'll feel a bit, but until you open your exhuast you wont feel shit for what that turbo has to offer. with the right mods (ignore all this gas octane BS) a 14b will give you an average gain of about 40hp. i know...
filling out your veh profile would help -alot.because, if you're stock, and you're even considering a 20g, you're a long ways away. do you even have an aftermarket boost gauge?
i disagree.its a noticeable feel, better throttle response, and spool up. a couple reputable people around here claim ~10hpw.of course this "mod" works the same way as others, you're not gonna feel it as much on a t-25 as you would on a 16g. you're not gonna feel it as much w/ stock...
if the leak is bad enough, it might screw with your O2. the 02 will probably think there isnt enough airflow coming through the exhuast, and you could be running rich, meaning less gas mileage. in general, leaks anywhere arnt a good thing.
oh yeah good call. i had the same problem when i put my profec in. i had stock 2g bov, and i wasnt gettin over 11psi. thats probably exactly what your problem is
they use that nylon stuff in shops with compressed air around 150 psi, and it holds up. 70 psi of oil is fine running through them.of course i say that now.. i know ill be bitching about it a few months down the line.
i have the haynes manual and all, and i cannot find the 2 bolts on either side to get the bumper off for the life of me.you're right it is an ungodly amount of oil. I just had my head rebuilt, a new block and clutch put in, and my tranny was dropped as well. my t too small is 100%...
there is a third bolt on the front side of the intercooler. i can see it, its just impossible to get to. i cracked open haynes, it dosen't look that hard to do. its not like im gonna be driving it anywhere soon. heh thanks guys
do i absloutely have to remove the front bumper to take this thing off? while swapping in a 14b about 1/2 quart of oil came out from it, so i figure it needs a cleaning. Theres just one bolt left and i have no idea how to get to it.
if you think money is an issue now, wait till you toss a turbo on your car. you'll be paying outta your ass for one thing after another.just get the evo 16g. easy stuff, daily driveable stuff.
hey guys, where can i find a 1g J pipe? i know rre and dejon have em, but they're like 70-80$. so how does that work out with the 40$ DIY 14b/16g 2G kit?
first line of the rules:What NOT to ask in the forums:
- If I bolt on "x" part, how much power will I gain?
- I want a 10-second daily driver- what parts will I need? which turbo?
- What should my first mods be?
- Which turbo is the best?
- Which is better - FWD or AWD?
- Why do people...
hey guys, i have an autometer oil presure gauge (phantom series) i got from MachV. It came with a couple 1/4th NPT and 1/8th NPT adapters, and the tubing. but no real instructions or how to's.i know there was a post already on the forums about it, but the guy used a 1g as an example, and i...
if you want. or you can just use a different oil filter, i know the 2G guys use 1G's. im not sure if there is a difference between the 1G filters and the evo filters, but as far as i know you can use them too.
hey guys, i go to USF. I'd love to go, but my engine is siezed up, and its time for a 6 bolt. I'm not trying to hijack this, but any of you recomend a place around Tampa (withing reasonable towing distance) to do an engine swap? thanks a lot, hopefully ill be up and running by then
well, talkiong to a friend of a good friend tnoghit, he said he put the engine in for free. he said he might even be able to get my car down here for free, since his buddy does aucitons and what not and ships cars up and down the east coast. i mentioned somehting about it being AWD and needing...
well, they say i blew a rod. then again, these are the same guys that were gonna put the n/a engine in. in the final strach my car was blowing out thick clouds of white smoke outta the exhuast. the oil light popped on and off on accasion, but i had oil with me that i put in. i checked the...
hey guys, on my 1000 mile trip back to school my oil pump fialed and i ended up throwing a rod in my engine. im in tampa now, home is maryland, and the car is in florence SC. the guys are saying it would be more expensive to rebuild the engine, and i'd be better off just getting a new used...
i have the apexi turbo timer and i sintalled it right on my steering collum. as far as your's, you should be able to install it under your head unit. i used three strips of some heavy duty velcro, and its been solid for over 2 years now. check my profile for my TT install.
that meganracing DP looks nice. what first got my attention about RnR was thier O2 elim. how much of a difference will a DP w/ or w/o an O2 elim make? seems a lot more practical than getting it ported.
I replaced my stock clutch w/ an act 2600 about 1.5 years ago. im not sure if it started then or what, but everytime i downshift into 2nd gear my car shakes pretty noticeably. even had a couple girls curious to why it did it, and we all know most girls wouldn't pick up on something like that...
awesome, glad to know you guys are in the know. although isnt it just as bad as a repost when it takes more than one person to call out a repost
Maybe some of ya'll know, maybe ya dont, but i saw a commercial last night for a new street racing game that is part of the Need for Speed series, and i defiantly saw a 2G red eclipse in one of the clips. just thought i would let ya'll know
just since it started getting cold over here, maybe about 2 or 3 weeks. i also changed my oil a couple weeks ago, and put my cat-back on about 3 weeks ago. it was warm out the other day, and i didnt really have a problem with it, but last night when it was chilly i was blowin out a lot of...
heya, i havent been around too much recently, but i hope someone could maybe clear some things up for me:my 95 gsx has about 105K miles on it, but i still use mobil 1 15-50(i think, its with the red lettering that says for peformance and turbos blah blah) but that has never been a...
maybe ive been misunderstood, projectors have worselighting than stock lights.. even my hazed over 95 stock lights? what can i do to get that "white" light effect then, cause i really cant see shit when it rains..
so my mom asks to see whats wrong, and i show her.. and she asked if she culd try.. so she wiggles it around a bit- no luck.. but then with the very next hit of the hammer the wrench dropped to the floor... figures.. now i just gotta screw the nut back on when im done.. heh..
i think the noise your talking about is lifter tick.. its due to a build up of carbon on your lifters. i have it too.. aparently there is some stuff that you can find at a pepboys to put in your oil to take care of it.. i havent gotten aorund to it, but you can check. and my first gear sticks...
its offical, the wrench is offset on the nut.. ima go in tommorow morning with a pair of needle nose pliers and see if i can hold the nut while turning the wrench.. heh.. only i could screw something like this up..
