I still own it. It's been sitting in the garage with the engine out since my last post. 😞
Eventually I'll get it back together and on the track. Haven't given up on it!
46 years old here. I'm from the Talon Digest era and have owned a DSM ever since. I've got too much time & energy invested into this platform to ever switch.
If you melted the A/C fan just driving on the street, then I'd suspect an exhaust leak. Check your manifold and turbo for cracks, make sure your bolts are all torqued to spec, and that your gaskets are good.
IIRC, you can tap into the .5 - 4.5v analog output of an Autometer pressure transducer from their "Digital Stepper Motor Oil Pressure Gauge".https://www.autometer.com/2-1-16-oil-press-0-100-psi-fse-w-peak-warn.htmlMay want to confirm on the ecmtuning forum first.
Do any of you guys stream your races?I started streaming on Twitch and YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4pYfVYvrpNqa9KtTQkz5rQI run a lot of broadcasted races as well. It's pretty fun.
I'd be nervous about bottoming out during an off-course excursion, potentially pushing your seat mount up and slamming your helmet into the top bars. Or maybe I'm just paranoid. :idontknow:
VR seems to be the way of the future. Plus it's cheaper than buying three monitors. If you can wait for it's release, the HTC Vive Pro looks to be a big advancement in VR technology.
I run iRacing pretty much exclusively since 2011. It's more expensive than the other sims out there, but it's also the most realistic. Every track & car is laser scanned. Not just exterior, but individual suspension components are scanned and modeled as well. A lot of professional drivers use...
A while back, when I was preparing to build a roll bar for my 2G, I collected 124 photos of various 2G roll cages I had found over the web. Seems I still have them on Photobucket. Can't tell you if any are Rhodes, but might give you some ideas on what others have done...
Ah, that makes more sense. :)Be sure to let us know what you do to reinforce the fixture points of the tubes the eyebolts fit through (RE: Spherical bearings 2g)
^ I'm not sure I follow what you're saying above.I have the same problem. One of my SPC anchor bolts bushings is torn and I plan to do the same as you & Kevin... Replace with spherical bearings.
You're not going to cut into the rear quarter? That's half my problem... The rears hitting the wheel arch. I need to run near stock ride height to keep the tire off them. :(
I had mine crack out of warranty. FP would not replace it but they did give me a discounted price on a new one. Definitely worth getting in contact with them.
Jerry, the stock center VC doesn't come into play until there is a wheel speed differential between the front & rear drive wheels.I have a Cusco Tarmac Gear center diff. If I accelerate hard enough to break the tires loose, then the rear always breaks loose first. The center VC then begins to...
I've been running 900F/400R on Koni Sports for years. Front is great; really planted. Rear feels a little under-damped / bouncy. Tempted to try a 375 spring in the rear just to accommodate the Koni's limitations.
Love it. Car drives like a RWD. Rotates nicely under power, but the front still helps pull you out of the corner.Years back I blew my stock center diff. Was looking to get a 4-spider when Charles (ACM) recommended the Cuso Tarmac Gear 35/65 based on his own experience. This diff is no longer...
I have the Tarmac Gear... It's does not resemble your photo at all. Definitely not it.Although the VC eliminator does look the same as what came with my Cusco.
Yes, definitely overkill for street use. Unless you're in the habit of doing countless back-to-back highway pulls.Since I installed my transmission temperature gauge, I don't recall seeing more than 180°F trans fluid temps on the street / highway (with my pump turned off).
Using this I presume...http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/stm_balance_shaft_inspection_hole_breather_fitting.htmI was thinking of doing the same, but not as a drain; just a vent to a catch can plumbed back into the intake.
