in my builds, and anyone that asks i suggest the felpro gasket and arp studs. i have personally ran a 14b 16g and 18g on this setup up to 30psi with no overheating. friends that have done the same are using very similar setups as well. compression and leak down tests have been done to justify...
i use a plasma cutter with a 10x20 table capable of cutting 2.5in thick steel. im cutting some 3000gt caliper brackets to see how they turn out. if anyone needs any parts ill be more than happy to make some.
running 1450s/v3/wideband im right at 25 on the highway. my car doesnt have cruise control so its alittle harder to get it right. im never really in the throttle at all on my 50 mile drive, but ive got it between 14-16afr between 60-75mph. one thing ive noticed is that my bov is not...
having a similar issue with mine. transfer case input shaft sleeve sheared from the gear and wouldnt pull off. i ended up pulling the ball through the sleeve in the tranny. ive got it figured out now, but its cold right now lol...
Sunday I took my transmission apart, and would like some opinions on what someone with experience thinks it looks like. this is out of a 1992 awd laser. 2nd gear grinding slightly, and honesty I know nothing about these. I have downloaded the manual to check for clearances, but just looking at...
anyone by chance know of a place that might sell these? this is pretty much the last part of my build i need and ive been looking all over the cummins/rx7 forums to no avail. ive called bullseye and they cannot do what i need. basically what im looking to do is exchange my t6 flanged turbine...
you can bleed the clutch yourself, i did a write up on it in the tech section awhile ago.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-drivetrain/199640-how-bleed-your-clutch-yourself.html
i will be running an hx-55 on my 2.3 stroker. my current issue is the fact that the hx-55 has a t6 exhaust housing. does anyone have a spare hx-40 turbine housing? i will have plenty of feedback on this turbo.
tomorrow ill be getting some pics up of the engine. i have to go pick it up at the machine shop and start putting the whole thing together including the car. now that everything is starting to come together, i should be able to keep everyone updated on things sooner, instead of once a month.
its going to require some modifications, but it will fit. machine shop should be done with the engine so i can start putting it all together. hope everyone had a great time at the shootout.
bought a civic radiator and a bigger oil cooler. moving into a new place soon so ill have time to start putting it together. engine is getting assembled now.
one thing i would suggest before tearing into it to look for something, is do a leak down test. that will basically tell you where any leaks could possibly be. hissing exhaust...exhaust valve seals....hissing intake....intake valve seals. crankcase pressure.....ringlands. bubbling radiator...
the wastegate opens and closes off vaccuum and boost, you wont be able to manually open and close it.when you say 7lbs, are you referring to an aftermarket boost gauge you installed, or the factory boost gauge in the cluster? if its the cluster, than i reccomend you install a boost gauge as...
spoke with jake aka topstreet the other day about my build and bought his crank he had for sale on here. he also talked me into buying some groden rods, so thats the reason im selling my crower rods. engine should be complete after those parts are received.
im in lincoln, leaving for hastings for a job today though. ill be back on weekends. i read on page 2 that someone needed an ecu, i have 2-3 spare if one is needed. all are 91-94 ecu's.
if you dont feel comfortable doing it, you should maybe have someone with electrical background do it. this could be potentially bad news if you dont know what youre doing. be careful :hellyeah:

i wont be doing anything to the car other than buying parts right now, im stuck in nw colorado for work right now.the qm twin disc just came in friday, so now i can start looking for an intake manifold and what i will be using for my fuel system.

you will have to modify a few wires on the harness, but everything else will work. you are kind of going backwards on this, as everything on the 94 is better, but since its missing everything it would be a good purchase assuming its in good condition and getting it for super cheap. if you have...
rota g-force 35+ offset, rears need a spacer to match the front.my aem ems should be here this week. after that ill be buying my ptt twin disc, injectors, intake manifold and assymbling the engine.
I have not been on dsmtuners in quite some time, so i figured I would give a small update since this showed up today...Still a few things left to purchase, and hopefully next year its ready to go. I didn't realize how expensive this hobby could get, but I am really excited its all...

figured mine out. the diagram he sent compared to what my wire colors were, were different. after changing it, it worked fine. i emailed jeff about my lean issue and he suggested my fuel pressure wasnt rising 1:1. i checked my fuel pump by kinking the return line on my fpr. it shot straight...
yes i have the ntls option. the wire was included and instructions on how to properly hook it up. the instructions say to cut the green/red wire, but my clutch wires were solid black and green/black. i cut into the green/black wire. was i wrong?
im messing with my 2step also. hitting the pedal once does nothing, and every time afterwards it goes up 7,0,14. i wired in my clutch switch mod and its the same. i emailed jeff (dsmchips) about 2 minutes ago, so hopefully he can help us!
working out in the scottsbluffs area for the next year or so, and im bringing my 94 gsx with me with minor mods. closest track is julesburg if im reading correctly? anyone else in the area? might need some help building my red gt4067 car :)
ben I would say an intercooler upgrade might be your best bet. when we talked last night I remember you saying you rewired the fuel pump so that shouldn't be an issue.
