Quick question but I couldnt figure out what to search to find it.Does anybody know what size/pitch the holes for sensors in the thermostat housing are? I want to get some of those nice allen head plugs to fill in the extra holes from having a 6bolt housing on my 2g. I'm also thinking I...

there's a difference between spending 3k for a set of wheels for a car thats gonna stay on a smooth track and be locked in a garage overnight and paying 3k for wheels to go beat off the crappy roads most of us have to deal with and risk getting stolen. and dont even get me started on paying 120...
i found the problem. after about 2 weeks of randomly acting up it decided to not engage at all. pulled the trans and the clutch hub is broken out of the disc.
you should look at his profile before posting. he has a 1g so he can get a logger cable, an old palm and the free software and have a logger for <100 that can monitor knock.
i think you have a massive boost leak and i think you need to try getting rid of the mbc tapped into the bov since we know that will leak. straight wastegate boost is more then 5 psi. just cap the t in your bov line and drive it around the block with no boost controller hooked up.
i loved it in my 1st gen. Wish they had one that would work in a 2g. Definately a lot easier then unhooked power steering. i liked it ### it was lighter and a lot more room in the engine bay. no pump, lines, etc. It was kind of a pain in parking lots but as long as your moving the steering...
If you can still use all the other gears and dont have any grinding or noise you may be lucky and just have a broken fork/rail since they do share one. But more likely then not you have bigger problems
my guess would be that any cop boot would work if you just trimmed it to length. I'd go to a parts place or dealer and have them pull a few until you find one that looks close.
Well I guess I don't need to worry about this anymore until I get the trans out. I was driving the other day and it decided to completly stop engaging. So i'm guessing I broke the disc somehow. We'll see once I get it towed down to the shop and pull the trans. PTT twin disc and a totally...
yea it sounds like 2g pedal pump up to me. if you set the pedal too high then the master cant go back far enough to release the pressure when you let off so it "pumps up" pressure and then acts liek the clutch is pressed and slips
ok i have a 95 tsi awd with act2600 and act streetlite flywheel.Having problems with my disengagement. It'll work fine for awhile I can set the disengagement up to halfway up the pedal if I turn the master rod out far enough. but after I drive for awhile if im shifting a bunch it will just...
a lot of kits require removing all or part of the support. put up a pic of your front and rear and someone may be able to tell you if the stock supports will fit
It should be possible but youll need to custom make brackets. If they're power seats youll also need to provide power and ground to be able to move them.I'd start by measuring the width of the base to make sure theyll fit though
Found the problem. big thanks to everyone :(even though the fluid looked like it was coming out the bellhousing at the clutch opening it was actually coming from a small bolt hole just above the clutch fork and running down the outside and inside of the trans. not sure whats its for but...
ok heres the deal. havent had much luck searching since I dont even know what to look for.I have a 95 tsi awd. The transmission I just had put together has a 97 bellhousing and tcase, and the center section and internals from a 91. My axles are the original 95 axles.I'm leaking gear oil...
strip it all out ASAP then wipe down the whole interior with bleach. You need to dilute the bleach with water but I forget how much just check on the bottle.
look up john bucci/project goodwill. 10's in a stock turbo fwd.lots of weight reduction, coilovers to stiffen up the back and drop the front and toss on some slicks.
im not sure exaclty which piece your refering too but i can help a bit. The trans is sealed with rtv stock. It's a whitish-gray color and is a lot like the permatex gray.most of the "slices" of the trans have a couple alignment pins. Find them and tap on them since thats where the ones i've...
ap tuning in lebanon has it. theyre a big vw audi shop but they also sell n2o. No idea where blandon is so i dont know if that helps you or not but I'd look in the phonebook for performance shops and call and ask if they sell it or know where to buy it.
The fittings are crimp on fittings so its designed to be replaced as one piece. If you go to a place that can make air conditioning hoses they have the crimp fittings and you can bring your hose and enough high quality fuel hose and have them crimp on new ends but till you do all that it would...
Well I'm planning to take it in the end of this week but so far all I can find searching is people saying it can be done. Hopefully it all drops in right because it doesn't look like im going to get any answers here
there are a couple screws on the back for the clips. just puty the light in the bumper then screw a big flat piece of metal to the back then put the fenderwell cover back on. that way they need to pull the fenderwell out and take off a big piece before the light can come out.
g35 or evo. I don't like subarus, RX7 will be a bigger headache then the dsm and the 300zx is absolutly horrible to work on. Theres no space in the engine bay to do anything
remember that when you try and turn the output shaft your now turning all 4 wheels so it will take more force. unless you have the tcase off or the trans out.
