Practically brand new. I purchased this setup directly from Tim Zimmer @ TMZ Performance back in August of this year. This is the 6 leg gear drive 6 bolt AWD HD street twin disk assembly. 3500# pressure plate. Very very street friendly setup!!The setup has a total of 129 miles on it...
I got quick measurements. They should be pretty close.Compressor:Exducer - 2.7140"Inducer - 2.0650"Turbine:Inducer - 2.2000"Exducer - 1.9580"---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------From Robert @ FP - Turbo came...
The mark you see @ 7 o'clock is from me turning the wheel while the housing was off.I'm sure it could use a re-fresh as it is pretty old. I'd be curious to see what type of power it can make. Again I'll get more measurements on both wheels tonight.I'll also grab a pic of the o2...
I recently acquired a 1G that has sat for almost the last 10 years. For the life of me I cannot figure out what turbo & o2 housing are on it. I've searched with no results. I have been into DSM's for almost 15 years and I have no idea what the hell I have. Any help would be great!Turbo...
Anyone know when the first 1G's came off the line? I picked up a 90 TSI AWD and it says October 1989 production date on the sticker inside the door. That is the earliest one I've seen in the 10+ 1G's I've owned. Is there a way to tell from the VIN what number it was?Any...
Car looks great bud.I want to run en EVO9 turbo on this 1G I'm building. My EVO went 11.5 on pump gas and almost full weight back in the day. A 1G that weighs a hell of a lot less on corn will go high 10's and be very fun to drive.
As long as you pre-lubed the cams in the cylinder head there is no reason to waste your time spinning the oil pump. The second you start cranking the motor over oil pressure is built. Just my $.02
Spikes to about 24 falling and holding 20-21 psi to redline.I use a MAFT and SAFC. I don't think pump gas would be very easy to manage with my setup. I use the MAFT to get the fuel trims close and fine tune with the SAFC.I have zero boost creep. As stated above it hits 24 psi very...
Sounds good man. I'll tell you what this 2600 is actually very nice once you get everything all sorted out. Now I just need to figure out how to strap the front end from lifting lol. I have the brackets just need to get something to hold the front down.
I threw a new slave cylinder on it and made a new 'longer' slave cylinder rod and got it all fixed. She shifts like butter now! This almost shifts as well as my built trans in my EVO.If the weather is good Friday I'll give it one more try.
Haha hello :thumb:I can't wait man.Yes sir. I have always liked the turbo tractor sound lol.Update 6.4.2011We threw a ACT 2600 in the car yesterday and changed drivetrain fluids so I decided to take it back to the track. I brought the slicks I use on the EVO hoping to cut my...
A wideband and my own two eyes lol. With E85 and a stock timing curve I am not to worried about knock at the boost levels I'm running. Not to mention I've kept the air/fuels pretty safe.Who are you?? ;)Haha. Thanks man!!
SAFC, MAFT w/ GM MAF, and an AEM wideband. Air/Fuels are kept nice and safe around mid to high 10's and base timing is right around 5-7* BTC.I'd love to get ECM Link on this car. But my EVO gets priority over the Talon lol.
11.73 @ 117.73 mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS0KNHILHRI11.76 @ 118.35 mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5VEqCTYXVsOverall I am pretty happy with the results. I keep thinking of selling this car but everytime I drive it I change my mind lol. I really want to get ECM link. Being...
Fair enough.I also have the big ass vent right above my manifold on my EVO so heat dissipates quickly with the coated manifold. On my 1st gen underhood temps can get pretty crazy sometimes.
From the questions this guy is asking NO he will NEVER make 250 hp unless he adds some form of F/I. The amount of cash it would take to get to those power levels N/A are a lot higher then most can afford on this forum. And even if some form of F/I was added it will most likely be junk ebay...
I guess. It honestly is a personal opinion. I'd like to see a true before/after dyno test to see if there is actually a difference. I'd rather spend the money that I would have spent on the wrap towards coating it or another power adder, etc..I see it as more weight and a bigger pain to...
I would personally never wrap such a beautiful manifold. I just picked one up for my daily driver and will most likely get it coated if I do anything with it. Heat wrap is a waste of money IMO and looks like garbage.
Sounds like the 'injector resistor pack' isn't working. It is a silver rectangular box mounted to the firewall with I believe 5 black/white wires coming off of it.
It was a combination of a boost leak at the inlet/outlet of the sidemount i/c and cylinder #4 spark plug had a gap of .000 ha. He must of dropped the plug in a little to hard and the tip of it caught the tread in the head and smashed it shut.
The issue is fixed. He isn't running to rich. The car holds a solid 15 lbs all the way to redline with no creep issues. Wideband shows high high 9's to low 10's at WOT on 93 pump. Perfect for a car without many supporting mods and no tuning capabilities yet. It is a very safe tune right...
Good deal thanks for the response! I live like 20 minutes from Summit Racing i'll stop by and talk to one of my guys there and see what kit he thinks would be best! I am more on a budget and might keep the factory gauge cluster. Gauges really start to add up haha. I am also doing a lot of...
