Don't do it. Plenty of 2G GSX's out there for you to build up to your tastes. An AWD 2Gb Talon is pretty rare, seeing one "converted" means there's one less Talon out there for someone to enjoy as is.The conversion isn't as straight forward as you'd like to think. Holes will need to be...
Texas only allows for 6 characters on vanity plates. Here's the one on my GVR-4. They wouldn't let me have: "YT1300" because it was too similar to tags used by state vehicles. :mad:I'm gonna have to come up with something for my Talon when it gets back on the road.
As mentioned above, CM does make a bolt on catback for the GVR4. Probably one of the few companies that makes anything specific for the GVR4 anymore. However a 1G AWD can be made to work if it's lengthened in some spots. I had a local shop modify a 1G AWD exhaust for my GVR4, and it turned...
There's a local DSM Forum in the D/FW area, (dallasdsm.org) that usually has a monthly DSM meet scheduled. Another local forum (dallasimports.net) has meets for import cars listed during the week. Hope this helps.
The red 1G owner's name is Glen Twardowsky. The owner of the red 2G as previously posted was more than likely a guy named Shane. They're both D/FW guys who post on the local forums.
Check the relay you used when you rewired the fuel pump.It might be faulty, or not designed to operate constantly. I had a rewired pump on one of my GVR4's, and it would randomly die out on me. Finally traced the problem to the relay I used. Swapped it out for a new relay, and never had...
If the badge has been removed, there's no way to determine what # it was. The dash badges and keychains were put on the cars once they came off the boat in no particular order. A GVR4 with a low production number could have a badge that says it's "51 of 2000", while "52 of 2000" could have...
There's a couple of local guys who do side work on DSM's here in the Plano/Richardson area, but no shops close by. 2Bar Performance is in Haltom City, but I've never heard anything about them yet. http://www.2BarPerformance.com doesn't have any info available, since the website is getting...
I used a propane torch to heat the plug for a bit. This helped loosen the sealant on the threads. Haven't had one round off yet doing it this way. If you've already rounded it off with the allen wrench then you're in for a bit of a fight trying to get it off.
