Not sure if it makes a difference but when i had my 2.4 done i had the machinist check the cap heights where the girdle lays. Sure enough there was variation between them so i had him level them out then line honed with the girdle on.

Any decent core will not affect cooling to much.

Dot 5 is not ment for high performance use. It's for vehicles that sit like classic cars and harleys. It's also safe for paint.

Your engine will take very little boost if any. Some of those parts will also have to be modified to fit and you will need some type of fuel management and bigger injectors.

There might not be enough clearance for the turbo pistons. Could also be a ridge formed at the top of the bore.

+1 on the compression test. If you have low #s a rebuild would probably be cheaper than a jdm motor. As far as the tranny goes you can get a stock rebuild for under $1000. Plus it's all new parts. :D

You are asking alot from those 560 injectors. You should look into getting larger injectors along with a larger fuel pump and adjustable regulator.

A set of 272s and smim to compliment them would really help your set up.

Does anyone know how to identify a 4g64 crank? I got mine a few month ago for the 2.3 motor I am building. A few days ago i was reading about a guy who got a 4g63 instead of a 4g64 and the machine shop would not take it back. I just want to make sure I have the right one...
