Ok so i just ordered a new cable from DSMparts and apparently i ordered the wrong end so i go down to the local radio shack and buy a serial cable that will convert the female end to male end, but when i hook it up to the diagnostic port and start the car neither one of the programs will log...
Thanks for the advice guys, it helped i found my problem. After i psrayed the engine compartment down with soapy water i found all 4 of my boost leaks car runs much much better now thanks.

On my head somebody had tried to take the cam gears off but instaead of using the hex on the cam itself they used the lobes :confused: so i took it to a machine shop and they polished for me.
In the description of the safc it states that it gives you the ability to adjust 50% +or-on the fuel.So what it is saying is that you have 50% control on the stock calibration of the ecu since it is a piggyback. So what if you have your ecu reprogrammed, will it then give you 50% both...
what is talkin about is sometimes metal from the cylinder walls and pistons etc. will build up around the top, and form a little ridge around the top of the cylinder walls. but when i did my rebuild there wasn't one. :thumb:
Here's my question if the Wastegate was mounted on the O2 housing then the gases would still have to go through the outlet turbine to be expelled. Where as if the wastegate was mounted before the turbo that would be the best idea would'nt it? maybe someone can clear this up for me.Thanks...
I am doing a rebuild on my gsx and removed the balance shafts. Instead of buying the kit i just took the old bearings and turned them 180 degrees of the oil holes. and on the oil pump shaft i just cut it down to 1/1/2 inches. here is my question the hole on the back of the stubby shaft does...
I have a 1990 gsx and am rebuilding the motor my piston to cylinder wall clearence is about 2 thousandths and might become more after i hone in the haynes manual i think the service limit is .0017 i am not sure is this to much clearence if i plan to add more boost and more strain on the motor...
i have a 1990 gsx and in the process of rebuilding the motor but before i have it bored i wanted to know if this would work. i have about 2 thousandths of taper in my number 1 hole is this to from top to bottom not sure what the others have not checked please advise.
