I don't think on that car, the surge is a problem. Probably on dual ball bearing turbo. Those can spin backward with no problem. No thrust bearing to damage. :thumb:
A ball bearing turbo without water cooled CHRA, you'll be watching glowing ball bearings flying through your hood.As for the 50 trim, You probably got too much clearance on the piston ring (rear seal) to be able to oil from leaking.
Corrected you post for you.I didn't make excuses. it's facts. Didn't hurt my feeling at all. I got a bigger and better goal to chase than beating a 16G record now. At least I can talk about my own car.
lol, you are making up my life story for me. You think I couldn't do it that's why I went bigger? You clearly don't know me. I ended up going bigger because I had an offer that I couldn't refuse. Put it to you this way, I made money when I sold my 16G for $350.
I'm sure I could dipped into...
So since one 1G went to 117mph with e16G, it means this turbo is not good? I mean there is so much more veriable than just 1G, e16G, and 117mph.Not mocking on e16G. I know, I had one. went 113.7mph on 24psi (couldn't get to flow anymore) in mid 80 degree weather. no fancy stutterbox nor...
Just rebuild one stock or just with 2G pistons. Spend the extra money saved, invest into something for drivetrain and gofast parts. Most poeple is not going to be able to make enough power to break correctly build and tuned 4G63.
I guess you guys are looking at the V-trim. 30lb/min at 1 bar and 35-36lb/min at 1.4 bar. I think that's about E16G and more. All that are still in its full effiecieny. So why suc again?
FYI, the car should crank even without the MAS. ECU goes to limp mode and only rev to about 3000 rpm. (pig rich also.) I would check the MAS, clean it real good and reinstall it.
I've been there done that with EvoIII 16G and it made power. 296WHP@19psi on dyno and 12.48@108 on pumpgas, [email protected] in the race gas with 26psi falling to 24psi. Yet it really can't touch my new turbo which is T04E with a bullseye housing with Gen3 turbine wheel. I'll post up my dyno #...
The spool is all going to depend on the supporting mod. I see full boost on 50trim before 4K rpm in 3rd gear. That's with EVOIII 02 and 3 inch DP back. 2G exhaust mani, stock 1G intake with Crower stage II cams. I had a friend with a Green his turbo spooled around 3600rpm with ported head, web...
GEN3 wheel with Bullseye housing spools fine in my car. I'm seeing 20-23psi in upper 3000rpm. in 3rd gear. 19psi in first gear readline. From 4000rpm up, just hang on for a ride. :laugh:The spool in my car better after I tested for boost leaks and fixed the boost leak.
I don't have a hard number yet but with the car untuned with several boost leak it went 108mph in 1/4mi. I'll dyno next month, then I'll let you guys know how it does.
Just add some shims or o rings. My FIC 650's were lose, creating boost leak at 15 psi. Now I added o ring above the black rubber pieces and it hold 25psi before the boost leak tester popped off.
