I just had this problem and never saw this solution, so I'll bump this for future searchers to find.I also had the C/E light come on, and my logger told me it was the p0115 code. When I would start my car when it was cold, both fans would stay on nonstop. I ended up realizing that one of the...
I'll post some more recent pics of the same hobbies as before:Dale Hollow late in the season, glass all over:Last spring break at Keystone:Bludbird day at Brighton, UT, spring break 07':Winter needs to hurry up and get here.
Ouch, that happened to me a few years ago when I was setting my boost controller. I'll have to say it's quite the scary feeling when you're going 60 down the road and all the sudden you can't see. I had a carbon fiber hood on mine so it damaged the roof really bad as well. Ended up costing...
Did you ever figure anything out about this leak? I also just installed my Shep tranny and it looks like it is leaking about 2 inches above the drain plug.
Update for future searchers:I finally got the tranny out and sent it back to Shep. It ended up being a 3-4 hub and sleeve assembly that broke. It took out the center diff case, intermediate shaft, and I need a new 2nd gear.I went with the heavy duty 3-4 hub and sleeve assembly this...
Have you ever ridden in a GSX? There is a big difference between that and an RS. I like how the 3000gt looks as well, it's just not nearly as capable of car when you are building it on a budget.Look around the classifieds here, there's a lot of nice cars for sale.
My 92 Talon TSi AWD has started leaking antifreeze. It is coming from either the feed or return water line, I'm not sure which. It is accessible from below the car. The line appears to go into the oil filter housing, but I know it's antifreeze because when I pulled it off it dumped a lot of...
I think I win for driving the least. I've had my 2g for 3 years and have put 4k miles on it. It should be up again in a couple weeks after I get my tranny back.I daily drive my 1g though.
Yep I definitely felt it. I was confused when I woke up, I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was the wind at first, but it was too strong. I could hear the walls creaking, it was crazy. 5.4 on the Richter Scale.
Double major in Finance/Accounting. I should be out this May, but I didn't take a full load of classes a few semesters to keep the stress level down so I'll be out next May. College is kind of fun anyways, I just hate the million group projects and presentations we always have to do.I'm not...
Why do you want to do this? It's def. not worth the hassle of driving without it. It you leave the power rack in and just disconnect the lines, it is not going to act like a car that is originally manual steering. It will be much harder to turn.
I couldn't imagine that much power on a bike. My buddy has a GSXR 1000 Mat Mladin edition that puts down about 175-180 IIRC. That thing scares the crap out of me everytime I ride it.I wonder who would win the race if they put it against that bike with the Viper motor.
All I know about the BC is there is some amazing places to go skiing/boarding. The backcountry in BC is endless, wish I had the funds to go heliskiing.
You could get a better turbo or more supporting mods with the money you would spend on making the EVO 8 work. The EVO 8 turbo and EVO 3 are very similar when it comes to how much power they can make, they just designed to mount differently.
I saw this one on this site awhile back. He's a member here, not sure who though. Nothing like an AWD pulling the front tires.:Here ya go, there's a bunch of awesome pics in this thread:

Sounds like exactly what happened to mine. I have still yet to take it apart to see what happened. I was shifting from 3rd to 4th (not "powershifting") and heard a loud POP. Then no more 3rd and 4th. The rest of the gears work fine, but you can hear the broken parts rattling around in there.
What kind of air/fuel gauge do you have? The narrowband one's are pretty useless. A wideband is what you should have for reading the true air/fuel ratio. The narrowband one's typically look like a light show that goes back and forth changing colors.
I'm not paying anything for it. When I bought my car, the guy just gave it to me. It's been sitting in my room for a couple years collecting dust. I'm going to clean it up before I sell it, I just wanted to know what I have. Thanks for the input.
I searched and found this: [SYTY] Stock turbo identification: Part 2It has the same # on the exhaust side as in that link, so it looks like it might be from a Sy/Ty. It has the same # imprinted on the center clamp thing too. It does have 8 fins, with 8 set back.I can't seem to find any...
What's up guys? I need confirmation that this is a 20g turbo before I put in on Ebay. It has a Turbonetics emblem on it, but I can't seem to find any pics of one like it. It was given to me with my car and I want to know what I have. Here are the pics:Is...
1. I was in line waiting to get on a new roller coaster at King's Island (theme park). We waited over 3 hours and were finally getting close to riding when it broke down, so that 3 hours did us no good at all.2. Just last weekend, it was college night at the local ski hill. There was a 40...
You should get your door handles painted. It's one thing that really bugs me about RS's. I'm not a fan of the front bumper, but it's not my car. Looks pretty good overall.
I've never hit the limiter but I've been close. I shifted from 3rd to 2nd(instead of 4th) near the end of the 1320'. Luckily I realized what I did and disengaged the clutch before I hit the limiter. This thread is old!
Why not race him at the strip? Then he won't be able to say, "well you jumped the gun off the line" after you beat him. The timeslip will be proof of what happened.
I have worked at my current job for almost 4 years and haven't used a sick day for being sick. I always use them to leave work early to study for an exam or do homework. Now that I said this, I'll probably be sick tomorrow.
