Straight 93 from the Exxon down the street, no alchohol or water injection, no fuel additives, no tricks. And the comp ratio is well over 9:1.There is a big difference between building a system that works together, and throwing a bunch of parts together and hoping it works.
Got news for you Sir- I'm the guy who built that car that YOU seem to know so ####ing much about.God I hate the internet.BTW, I asked you how you pulled those numbers out of a hat- do you have and answer for me?I thought not.Have a nice day, and hope your e-car does well...
BTW, it ain't a particular turbo that makes or breaks the deal, while it certainly helps to have a premium well matched unit, the power you end up making is the sum of all that has been done. Its a complete system, not randomly chosen and sloppily assembled parts from catalogs.
Who said it was a 'shop car'?That car is making Mustang owners cry somewhere in Alabama.Notice the dyno readings go goofy after 6K? Don't try to dyno on 19" low profile hard compound tires.
Our hose place messed up on the swivel/crimp setup. About 25% develop a small seep. They will be fixed soon, if you have one of the leakers call for a replacement.
The tubine housing nozzle area is 1.4 sq. in., A/R is .70. Back to back tests against a recent design T3 .49 show quicker boost threshold and MUCH less exhaust pressure at higher RPM.You really can't directly compare modern volute design to older stuff by comparing A/R, and the A/R is a...
We offer manifold to head stud and nut kits for $18.00, either 1G or 2G. Hardened exhaust-spec studs with flanged copper coated locknuts. If I remember right they are BMW or Mercedes OEM. They are slightly longer than stock, and thread into the head 2-3 more threads to keep you non torque...
The turbine housing was designed to work that way- large compressor covers fit w/o hassles, and the entire package (WG etc.) is as compact, light, and as out of the way as possible. The new generation TiAl v-band wastegates will reduce weight and package size even further.
Our turbine housing bolts directly on to Mitsubishi exhaust manifolds. If you really really want one, we could build one with a T3 turbine hsg, but we don't recommend it. Our housing spools up the same as a small T3 and has a lot less manifold pressure at high RPM.You can get the GT35...
Well, in that case, anyone who doesn't have one in their hand looking at it, and says the entry isn't round, judgement based on the reflected edge of the deburring on an internet picture, needs their head examined. Fair enough? :p
It would affect it if it were actually out of round. What you are seeing is the deburring done by the machinist after CNC operations are complete. These housing do not require any porting, they are cast with a perfect 60mm round inlet, this is the final dimension. Just the rough edge is...
You should see the manifold Marco had do a nitrous backfire on the dyno. Twice. Looked like a photoshopped blend of a Magnus intake and Dizzie Gillespie's cheeks :thumb:
The turbine housing is as cast, there is no need or desire for any porting. It will also take, and keep, a polish if you so desire being 310 stainless. Once polished and heat cycled it looks rilly cool, rainbow effect. However it WILL stain easily, so don't drop any oil or coolant on it hot.
Pretty hard to beat the price/performance of the GT42 right now for large power applications. Excellent nitrous turbo, but will see full boost below 6K without it.86 or 95 lb/min.
This really isn't the best place to ask a question like 'what turbo will get me into the 9's'. That is best handled by calling up your favorite turbo vendor and going over your setup and deciding which route to take. We've seen two guys running near the same times use two completely...
Sounds like a fuel pickup issue. If so it should be worse on left hand turns or when well below 1/2 tank. If you just filled the tank FULL and it still does it it ain't fuel pickup issue, but could still be something electrical.
Just for a point of referance I know of one car that was assembled almost 2 years ago, lots of miles, lots of passes, and did 600+ HP on the dyno with juice, and has never had any issues at all with the Mitsu MLS. Valve cover has never been off since assembly. But, that engine was very...
If it has 3rd gear only in D, sounds like you have the two 4 pin connectors for shift solenoids and A/B speed sensors hooked up bass-ackwards. Both are 4 pin connectors, one will have 3 wires, one 4. Think back to those lessons on Sesame Street for matching things up."One of these things...
Sale pricing on the GT BB will be for several months, other stuff is also on sale, we also do the PTE housing internal models for those who aren't particular about good boost control or high mani pressure at high RPM ;)
