Hey guys! Just trying to get some feed back. I have a 95 GSX that I'm selling. I've decided to convert over to the 97-99 look. I have the bumpers, side skirts, door caps, headlights, fog lights and wing. Keep in mind that to add the turbo wing, I would have to weld up the holes in the quarter...

You have to be super careful about doing this one! It is Possible. Start out by removing your valve cover, and upper timing belt cover. Rotate your engine over to TDC so the crank and the two cam pins are pointed up. Next, break the two cam bolts loose by using a large wrench to hold the cam...

Real hard to find the factory ones! I have ones that say "eclipse" on the rears. I like the way that they look. Gives it that Rally look! Plus it keeps the sides clean!:thumb:

1990 GS-X - $1000 3 years ago in CA. Engine jumped time. Bought the car for the shell and replaced "EVERYTHING" in it...

Off the top of my head... not 100% sure but close enough, there are a total of 3 bolts w/ 14mm heads. 2 of which are about an 1.5" from the end of the threads to the base of the head. Those two bolts go underneath the water pipe at the top of the tranny. The third bold will be about 2" in...

well... if its frozen and the axle is still good. Why don't you leave it in there untill you have to replace it? I have found that a good penetrating oil, and a propane torch, combined with an Air Hammer will do the trick. My 2 cents. Good Luck!

You also have the option of having the thrust welded and the crankshaft ground down. There are shops out there that will grind a crank for a good price. The drawback, is that you will need to use undersized bearings. The cranks are plenty strong though. Its a cheaper alternative than...

Did your engine get mixed up with a 6-bolt engine!?!?!? If not, maybe you have the wrong backing plate?

did you check your main fuse? There is a set of fuses in the engine compartment located under that black reference cover. Check to see if anyh of those are blown.

Not that I would ever reuse a head gasket, but I've heard of several honda people resusing the aftermarket metal ones that they buy. They always use some kind of "HIgh temp copper" spray gasket. I'm not sure who makes it, but that would raise the chances for success in reusing your head gasket.

nope... 2g's have 3 tranny mounts 1 engine mount. 1g's have 3 engine mounts 1 tranny mount.

Try driving your passenger side tires up onto the curb. That should give you just enough space to squeeze an oil pan underneath!

When you drill the threads out, you will want to drill all the old ones out so you have a clean hole to tap all the way through. it will only go in about 5/8 of an inch before it bottoms out. You will want to have enough clearance to able to run the tap all the way in and have enough threads...

I was saying that if you have a stud that was broken off in the head, somtimes they are too hard to get out, and they require drilling or what not. If you don't extract them properly, then you can damage it. But... it sounds like you were able to take care of your problem! Congrats
