The car is in good hands! She still lives, I want to make a build thread but I purchased this car from
Technoklipz about 3 years ago? There has been a lot of work done to it... Evo graphite grey paint, bigger turbo, auto swap etc..
This is what I had wrote down when I did swap...One longer bolt for starter because trans housing thicker where starter connects and tcase is alil different. You need two more of the shorter bolts. So it’s 4 short and two long bolts for Auto tcase.Good luck on it.
Not sure if you are past this point yet but when I did mine last year there was a couple bolts different lengths that I needed. I believe it was one starter bolt was different and 2-3 transfer case bolts. I can did up exact sizes if you need them, every auto swap article I read never mentioned...
It should be fine, I know a lot of people do ratchet shifters including myself I just did one.. you might just have to modify the bracket on the transmission. I can take pics if you need them to install it.
E85 has always been pretty rare around this area from what I've seen, my go to place was the Exxon up in Lexington but they no longer carry it either! But the good news is, it looks like Sheetz has started carrying E85 and E15 this year.So if you're looking check Sheetz! I can confirm that...
Bumping old thread to see if anyone has ran into this and found a solution? I've been trying to get my timing dead on and seem to be having this issue. If I set the timing on the cam sprockets dead on, the tension pulls the exhaust back half a tooth out of time. If I set the exhaust a tooth...
At just any old inspection place you would not pass because of lack of emissions equipment, you will need to know someone or some place that could help you out. First garage I took my car wouldn't pass because they could obviously see I was missing catalytic converter and what not.Where in...
I removed emissions from my 93, I have a EGR blockoff being shipping, should I just leave the two ports on that for the time being open or loop them closed? Also underneath the thermostat there are two lines I took off, should those be capped/looped or left open?I followed the taboo...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but those four runners underneath the manifold are not plumbed into the manifold. More like just extensions to run vac lines to other side of engine bay. I believe they can be left open if nothing connected on other side.
Sold my 1990 Talon Tsi roughly 5 years ago...Finally in the position where I picked up another DSM, 1993 Talon TSI awd 5spd and it isn't my daily driver!I should post pics up shortly, its Black with Tan leather, Sunroof, ABS, LSD in rear and basically all stock except some minor head work...
I have a 1G crushed bov, and its pretty loud inside, can definitely hear it, and my friend said he could hear it when he was outside about 25ft away....but I dont think cars next to me can hear it...
look where ur exhaust mani meets your head, if you see oil there, you could use some valve seals....its also letting oil drip onto your piston burning it up to causing you to lose oil......got a smokey exhaust?
their great cars if taken care of and everything done that should be, but really...people say they are not reliable bc they drive hondas and stuff.....but just think about it....100hp v 300hp which u think will be more reliable....
Yeah cool bc I heard different things about it fitting right, mines porting so I should be fine, but yeah an exhaust shop should be able to fit it right...
I'm thinking about doing this also, I have 3" custom cat-back with magnaflow muffler....I'm sure if you bring it to a exhaust shop they will be able to do something for you for cheap....Also you have a 3" apexi DP and are you putting it to your stock 02?
I'll be there probably with a friends new buick gsx, 92 300zx TT and I wish my talon, but not yet....Hopefully I'll get down there earily their running time trials all night right?
K two things....one...Anyone know a price range for the front main seal to be replaced, I think thats where my leak is coming from, the guy who put my machv rebuild kit in, pinched it I believe...and second....right on my oil filter housing where the oil filter screws into, its starting to...
I got a aunt from howell lol... I'm on old brick side, right off brick blvd. and hooper ave. like 5-10 mins from the ocean county mall...where you located?
I know you guys hate this but I'm just curious....My friend has a 92 300z TT 5spd....totally stock...I have 91 tsi awd...5spd...its got a machv rebuild kit with .020 over bore.. 3" cat-back exhaust with magnflow muffler, free mods done, k&n filter.... I'm running stock boost right...
