UPDATE: I went with shep for the trans rebuild. Complete overhaul, welded diff stronger 3-4 gearset and shift rail and new intermediate shaft set me back $1700. He got the trans on a mon, called wed, and i had it at my door mon morn. Amazing. Highly reccommend usind Shep Racing. :talon:

The title says most of it. I can get the oil filter housing from a 90 along with a Cooler all for $50. The cooler is in ok shape...it is 14 years old....should i take it or make my own setup...opinions please :talon:

currently the head is stock and the motor is out for the rebuild. The guys here in NJ at DSMotorsport are running 10.8? on a stock head...so either way...thanks for the advice. If i get it done it will be from them or another machine shop.

I own a 1G and after the motor is back in I plan on either an external O2 dump or an external wastegate for the 52 trim...anyway, in a few mags i have seen a hole cut in the front bumper of the car to which the dump is connected. I think this would be pretty badass and get rid of those hot gases...

friend of mine is going sat to pick up a 6 bolt for his 2g. Question is, we dont really know how to check it if its not in the car. The guy says it was a daily and everything is cool. it has 102k on it and is in nice shape...just wonderin if there is nething else i could do to make sure its ok...
