My vr4 does this as well, it started after i installed an xact flywheel and fidanza clutch....its kind of like a combination rattling/grinding noise that only happens under decel.If anyone knows the cause, that would be great.

Here's my broken 2g. The engine seized on the way back from the body shop after getting two grand worth of body work. It had a bad oil pump.

My dad works at a Mistu dealership, and he says they have a lot of Evo's in for service, needing new clutches. Apparently Evo clutches aren't too strong, and some people are too hard on them.

When my friend did his car, all he had to do was take a pic of the vin # and show them. They said they need a trace of the vin or a pic, but a trace only works good on cars with vin numbers that are raised.If they won't allow a pic, just go somewhere else that does.

It will fit on the RS. I have a Tsi awd and an RS, and the shifters are the same.

Sounds like all you need to do is drill out the little screws. The knob can be loose enough to spin, but not come off because it hits the threads on the shifter.

Actually, Oslo Green isn't too hard or expensive to paint. My front and rear bumpers had to be repainted when my car was rearended(just scratches), and the body shop did a great job matching it.I am thinking about doing the 2gb conversion, because I have never seen an oslo green 2gb...

Are you sure your car has a 420A?In Europe & everywhere else in the world, 2G RS/GSs came with the 4G63 (naturally aspirated), not the 420A. US is the only country that got the 420A in the 2G cars.If it already has a 4g63 n/t, then swapping it out for a 4g63T would not be hard.
