  1. anyone ever heard of this? better mpg this easily? (acetone dreams)

Maybe its just me but I thought with colder air you can have (abiet not being very significant) more timing, thus more power from less fuel.
  2. Wheres Buschurs drag talon vid...¿

Does anyone know where a video or picture of a run of buschurs 7 second drag talon. I had a bet with someone that didn't believe a 4 cylinder could get into the 7's. :thumb:Thanks and time is of the essence.....
  3. Help....science fair

I think that you can freeze and revive a fly too. No I am not someone's kid on the forum. I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. I have been in love with dsm's since 4 grade (seriously) when my dad got a 92 awd. :pI have been researching them for a few years now.Unfortunatly...
  4. Help....science fair

Help I need your help for a science fair. You could be a very good help to me, and I would appriciate it alot. :thumb:I need donations of turbo parts (perferably broken), or anything to do with forced induction. Also any links to compressor maps, flow charts, etc...I will pay...
  5. This is the best datalogger

Hey any of you with auttera. Do you think that you could send me the software for the palm. I have all the hardware just not the software. Thanks
  6. Ticking noise from the intake mani region...

The injectors are pulsing so they click (they open for a few millaseconds). Usually isn't very loud at all. What I am guessing it is probably lifter tick. [edit] Maybe they might be dirty????(the injectors) [edit]
  7. Ticking noise from the intake mani region...

I would guess that it is just the injectors. I wouldn't worry I know alot of people with noisy injectors. Or most likely it is lifter tick, which is normal for our style of lifters. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. ;)
  8. Reverse gear GRINDING very VERY BADD!!!!!!!!!!

Also take into acount the engine moving back and forth. :) Which might cause even closer clearences.
  9. Boost Spikes Overboosting

Yes I also have a bad problem with spikeing. When I installed (correctly, I triple checked) the mbc and set it good (the lowest setting, again triple checked) it boosted up to close to 20 psi on a 2g gen tsi fwd automatic 2.5 inch turbo back exaust w/o kitty(catilitic converter) ebay open...
  10. Dogbox transmission [Merged 3-7]

From what I get from the article I think you have to let off the gas to shift but you don't have to use the clutch. I don't think that the first gear is that tall, ya 60 in first gear but that is at 9000 rpm so I think that it might be somewhat streetable if you have a good clutch. Heck I know...
  11. Rattling Exhaust

If that didn't fix it there is the hanger right by the drivers side rear tire that rests on the exhaust sometimes.
  12. Which / What Oil Should I Use? [Merged]

I would go with the oil that they put in the ferrari enzo, but it is 60 bucks a quart. So the average oil change would roughly cost 300 dollars.
  13. Shaking Steering Wheel

Also check the tires for cupping.
  14. Shaking Steering Wheel

Start with the simple stuff (kiss method) like.... See if you knocked off a wheel weight on that last monster of a pothole, and you might want to check the lower tie rods, because some have troubles. :dsm: :laser: :talon:
