2G adjustable tubular rear lower lateral and trailing arms (Closed)!!!!!

Let me know if a spot frees up for the complete kit. I'm rarely on this forum anymore, sucks when I miss stuff like this..

Any updates on the front LCAs? Would love to pick up a set for the race car

aem FIC is anybody using it?

You need to use the 30-1913 F/IC-6, not the 30-1910 F/IC for this car (and all Chrysler based vehicles/engines). The 1913 has additional hardware to induce a load and create a flyback signal on the factory ECU's injector driver circuit to prevent an injector related CEL.Beau

    2g tie rod end brand

The inner tie rods are usually what wear out on these cars. I went with all OEM inner/outer assemblies including new boots and it was about $300 including shipping for both sides through JNZTuning. A bit pricey but it's not something you want to skimp on!

    35R Surge / HWY Gears

Yup! Exactly. As a side note to the OP, I used to have this with my old 2.3L/GT3076R bolt-on housing setup when running over 25 psi in 5th gear low RPM. Interestingly enough, it suddenly got way worse one night, and I eventually discovered a rather massive boost leak (ripped coupler). When I...

    35R Surge / HWY Gears

How are you controlling boost? It's a bit of a bandaid, but you can do RPM based boost control in higher gears with V3 to prevent surge. I had this same problem tuning a 2.3 Galant VR4 but it was a DSM HTA3582R with the bolt-on housing, so I'd almost expect it since the turbine housing is quite...

Disabling VSS check engine in Evo8 ECU

Sorry, should have specified the bit I provided was for the 9653 ROM. Been a little while since I've looked at the Evo 8 ROMs.. been messing with mostly Evo X's lately :p

Injector duty cycle too high for airflow?

In my experience, a single Walbro 255HP (rewired) will support equivalent to maxed-out 1000-1100cc injectors. You're almost certainly running out of fuel pump. If the problem is flow from the fuel pump, upgrading it will certainly lower your IDCs.Maxing out your fuel pump is certainly...

Definitely in the tune ... Need help

I would AVOID that first thread at all costs, WOW I've never seen so much misinformation on the AEM EMS in one thread! Almost every point he made was incorrect. The other threads may help but unfortunately tuning a standalone is several large steps beyond simple reflash tuning and does require...

General E85 tuning and the dreaded breakup or misfire

....Read MY post again. You will have to add fuel to your SAFC when you go from 91 to E85. I didn't say the trim value on the SAFC would be positive. I said you have to ADD fuel, meaning a likely a less negative value with your large injectors.I've been tuning for 9 years and have tuned...

General E85 tuning and the dreaded breakup or misfire

Using an SAFC at ALL is a bad idea, using one without a wideband is a terrible idea, using an SAFC with 1200cc injectors is a REALLY terrible idea. OMG The SAFC "works" by modifying the airflow signal, and in your case reporting too low of an airflow which causes a reduction in fueling, and a...

    ECUflash E85 tuning

Wow, that's a pretty significant gain in power (6% HP, 10% torque) from just AFR! More than I've seen. I wonder if the timing was a decently below MBT. As I'm sure you know, the more fuel you have the more timing you tend to need, so if the timing value was well suited to the 13:1 pull but a...

AEM EMS G1 - Low Z 1250 injectors. Do I need injector drivers for a nice idle?

For a Series I, yes, that's correct. Series I uses uS (microseconds) whereas the data above is in mS (milliseconds). Series II uses mS directly. 1000uS=1mSBeau

Experience on full slicks - AWD

Since the Contis are just a rebranded Hoosier R6, I used Hoosier's technical tire pressure guide that is very detailed and precise on its tire pressure recommendation based on vehicle weight and a number of other things. Interestingly enough, the numbers were WAY off, way too high. I wasn't...

Experience on full slicks - AWD

I bought a set of scrubs from a Grand Am race team, 245/45-17 (a little tall on the sidewall but that's the closest I could find), the Continental Grand Am race slick. Apparently it's a Hoosier R6 compound but full slick, no circumferential grooves and not DOT legal.I ran them both in my race...

2G Room Lamp Draw - Findings

Just for kicks, try unplugging the ECU and see if that affects the draw. The battery backup power pin for the ECU goes thru the "door/lamp" fuse. I'm not sure if it makes its way through the ETACS at some point but it's worth a try. This is certainly where a factory service manual would come...

ECUflash Evo 8 ECU swap, still knock after setup with stock maps at waste-gate; what's wrong?

Glad to hear things are improving! Regarding the notes above, I'd be surprised if this was really the case. However, there's an easy way to verify whether or not this is actually happening. You can either lock timing using Evoscan "IG 5deg BTDC" or make a test flash that has no ignition trims...

Look, my intake is off and this E85 issue?

Knock sensor should be replaced. The goo and "oil" residue is from E85. I run a tank of pump gas through every few tanks of E85 to clean it out. The injectors should be serviced, either sent out for cleaning/flow testing or at least ultrasonic cleaned. Alternatively you can soak them in...

Launch control/step 2 Fuel vs Spark!

Spark/ignition cut is not available on a stock ECU (which includes a reflash, DSMLink, etc). Only a standalone such as an AEM EMS has this available. They both have their benefits and drawbacks.Ignition cut can be safer if you're using water/methanol injection or nitrous. If you have the...

ECUflash Evo 8 ECU swap, still knock after setup with stock maps at waste-gate; what's wrong?

The log appears to be the wrong one, this one's about 25 seconds of idle only.FYI I'm now running Knock Multipliers of 19/16/18, which seems to work quite well for the engine in my daily driver. I dialed it in using E85 tuned where I know I will not pick up knock, and lowered the values until...

    Flex Fuel ECU DSM...?

I believe I'm currently the only one testing this patch right now, and I can confirm that it works! I made a frequency to analogue converter from Mouser Electronics parts for $10. I'd never spend $200 on that crappy Zeitronix part that does the same thing! When I'm not tinkering with OEM ECU...

    whats needed for ultimate handling?

Wow, this looks promising! Too bad there aren't any further updates. I tried to register for the board but it doesn't look like they're accepting new (or public) registrations. Bummer, I'd buy a set of these. It's a decent investment, but still a bargain for what you're getting.Beau

1G Aero work for 200MPH DSM

Very nice! I showed this to my coworker who races at Bonneville himself and is with the SCTA and he was really impressed.Question; have you thought about going FWD? 2G Rear Diffuser Design

If this were true, then the length (depth?) of the splitter would not have an effect on downforce, but boy does it! Why? Because you're increasing the surface area that the high pressure air on top of the splitter can push down with. Of course, there's a point where extending the splitter does...
  31. eclipsegsx1736

    2G Rear Diffuser Design

That's part of the story, yes, but the splitter also does cause a high pressure area above the splitter, which pushes down on the top of the splitter. In fact, you can see this happening in the picture you attached. As far as diffuser testing, should we hold tight if we're more interested in...

    General Stand alone options

You may want to look into the AEM EMS-4. It has all the tuneability of the AEM Series II EMS, but in a small, universal package that comes with a few wiring harness options (including just the connector and pins to make your own). It's been run on several DSMs already. The only thing you'll lose...

Rollcage gusset on A and B pillar

Thanks! It came out pretty decent. I could have added more but it's quite expensive and for this race series this will do the job and really stiffen the car up. Yeah, that's for the window net, although I don't have it installed yet.Yep, that's what my guy did too. Didn't want to drill...

Rollcage gusset on A and B pillar

I agree, it is a bit further over than I hoped, although it's within the 12" rule of the NASA CCR. However, this location did take into consideration that we cut out part of the centre tunnel and re-built a portion of it to move the seat further toward the centre of the car for a more optimal...

Rollcage gusset on A and B pillar

I recently had a full cage built for my race car, and I absolutely had the cage gusseted to both the A and B-pillars. You are correct; I've been in a few race cars on a road course that had full cages but no gusseting and you could certainly feel the cage and chassis moving independently. Not...

    2G Rear Diffuser Design

I didn't really do a thorough enough job explaining it, I think. I understand the confusion. From what I understand there are 2 things happening here. The expansion of the underbody at the back of the car does create a negative pressure, as the air mass now begins to occupy a larger area...

    2G Rear Diffuser Design

A given mass of air that transitions to a larger area will slow down, not speed up. This is what creates a low pressure zone. The diffuser should be designed to keep this slower, lower pressure air from mixing with other airstreams on the sides of the car. From a racing perspective, I'm all...

    2G Rear Diffuser Design

Very cool! Looks good from what I can make out so far. From an aero standpoint, I'd think the bottom of the strake should be parallel with the ground, which appears to be how you designed it. Not sure how critical the angle of the end of the strake is in relation to the ground, but making it...

    2G Rear Diffuser Design

I'm all in for the "race" version of course.I could see the "street" version being very popular though if it looks good. At that point it would be more for looks and I'm sure tons of people would be all over it if it looked cool, i.e. JDM Evo rear bumper which isn't functional but definitely...

The "sputter" you describe at high boost sounds like compressor surge.
