Pink injectors could be either 240cc from a 1g non turbo or 560cc from and evo 8/9.From what you say your car sounds like, it seems that the MAF that you are using is bad, but it could also be that the settings are wrong for the injectors you are using, you need to find out exactly what you...
I have a journal bearing 57 trim and I personally felt a huge difference in power running only 18psi of boost, full boost is reached around 3800-4000 rpm and i was making about 350hp to the wheels. If I were to upgrade my turbo I would go with a gt35r, it's ball bearing for a fast spool and...
you are going to need a j-pipe and you're also going to need to find a way to hook the j-pipe up to your intercooler, oil feed line either from the head or a stainless steel line from the oil filter housing, you can reuse the water lines, and you can reuse the oil return line if you stretch the...
sorry everyone, Ive been out of town and havnt really had a chance to mess with the car, but I will read through the post and let you know the results. I really appreciate everyones input.sorry i havent replied... thank you everyone for your help, time and patience. i have a few things i need...
I tried removing the fuel filter to see if it was clogged but i couldn't get the line at the bottom off for anything to test it so I took the top fuel line off, primed it and there was a lot of fuel coming out, i changed the injector resistor and it still didnt start. All the parts that i have...
I have a 95 Eclipse GST and im having trouble figuring out why it wont start, this is what i have done to try to troubleshoot it so far:1. I changed the coolant temp sensor cause the scanner said it was bad and the CEL turned off but still didnt start.2. Changed the MAF cause the one...
I am installing an SCE copper head gasket on my 98 eclipse GST with ARP head studs. I was told to torque studs to 65 ft. lbs and to not exceed 70 ft. lbs. Are thes torque specs about right? Has any anbody ever used a copper head gasket?
I dont think my e85 powered monsta will make it to this meet, I spun a rod while at the track a few months ago and its not fixed yet, but I might roll down there with the Vegas Bound Crew if one of them wants to give me a ride.
If your profile is up to date, you will need a 1g water pipe that connects to the lower radiator hose, 1g U pipe that supplies water to the turbo, 1g 3 bolt water neck with 2g sensors, you will need a 1g cam angle sensor unless your intake cam is tapped for a 2g-b CAS, you will also need to...
The Pocket PC Version did not work with my Compaq iPaq, so I tried downloading the Palm version to my Palm pilot and that didnt work either. After trying everything I thought was possible and not being able to pass smog I almost decided to pay to make it pass smog, but that wasn't...
I recently did my timing belt and installed all new components from Mitsubishi, after only 700 miles the Idler Pulley is making a squeeky noise and appears to be wearing down my timing belt, there's blue paint all over and around it from my Greddy timing belt.
Anyone know what would cause the...
How do you go about setting them to READY with DSMlink? I have the PC version Only and dont see the option to set them to READY. One of my friends is having the same problem with his 96, they told him to go to the Mitsu to set his monitors so he called them and they told him they charge $180 to...
Monitors meaning Catylitic Converter, O2, EGR, and o2 heater, they all read NOT READY when you go to DTC's--OBD Rediness in DSMlink. The DMV only allows 2 monitors to not be ready in order to pass smog here.
I was wondering the same thing because I went to a smog place and they said that my monitors were not ready, Anyone know if there is a way through DSMlink to make the monitors read READY?
Just follow whats in this webpage and you'll break it in fast and not have to worry about it anymore:Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power
RAXLES axles suck ass... I bought some about 6 months ago and never raced the car, the first time I race it I didn't even get off the line when the axle broke right off the spiddle. These axles cant handle any power what so ever, I'm only making 300hp and they bronke on the first launch and they...
I dont think they make anything to make them fit, you're most likely going to have to buy new brake lines for those calipers. PM me if you want to get rid of the 95-99 ones..
Is there a way to check a rear differential to see if its good?
The one on my friends 95 talon is going bad and we found a car at the junk yard that has it and we wanted to make sure it was good before bying it.
DSMlink is the shit, its a piggy back system but does almost everything a stand alone does and it also logs so you wouldnt need to spend any extra cash to get a logger and costs only a couple hundred more than an SAFC.
I fixed the threads las night with no problems.
I drilled the hole out with 21/64" bit, tapped the hole with the tap provided with the kit and screwed in the spring looking thingy, put the guide back in and screwed down the cam cap using the same bolt and that was it.
I called the machine shop that did the work and they said to use a helicoil, thats what they use. I have the head installed already and I really dont want to take it off again after spending so many hours just to put it on.
I was torquing down the cam caps after getting the head rebuilt and one of the cam cap holes is stripped and I can figure out how to fix it, there is a guide for the cam cap that the bolt goes through to aling the caps, how would I go about fixing it?
I bought a Helicoil thread repair kit that...
I bought a KeySpan (USA-19HS) USB Serial Adapter from CompUSA for $39.99.
I dont know which other ones work but I believe there is a list on DSMlinks webpage of adapters you can use.
$600!!!Holly $h!t! Good looord thats a lot of money. are you towing it 200 miles or something? To me it looks like a rod might have broke or something came loose and flew , it looks like the work that was performed was to the head only so of course they are going to say its not their fault.
I built my 7 bolt and 50k miles later its still running strong, but if you have access to a cheap 6 bolt in decent shape I would build that instead.I wouldnt reuse the timing components even if you were just rebuilding the 7 bolt, the timing components are one of the most important things on...
if you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator it is normal for the car to take a couple of extra cranks to start. The reason why the car wasnt running right with the 750's is because they are high resistance, keep the stock injectors in and reinstall your eprom ecu and set the adjustments...
Just thought I'd post some pics from when me and my friend were swapping heads on my eclipse.Old Head (2g)

That combo is mostly used by 1g owners, Keep your 2g pistons and rods and just put new piston rings on them and you should be fine, it would also be a good idea to get the crank turned and install new main and rod bearings. As far as putting the 1g head on the 2g block you have been...
