Fastest is the fastest, quickest is the quickest. Not going to speculate on what could, and or should be. I'll just say the quickest and fastest, still remain manual cars. Manual cars will always be the stronger performer however they are just far less consistent.
5spd cars are faster, period. 5spd cars ET better.......... Auto's are more consistent and easier to drive once they are setup. Pick your poison, but they're features and benifits to each setup.
Not going to tell you to "Search". I'll say DSM'S are old. If somebody was going to do it, they would have did it. 16g car, are perfect for what you want it to do. They are street turbos, that give you torque at a usable RPM. My advise, to help you learn what have worked for other people is to...
12s on a 14b, is bad ass either way. Congrats. 12s, 14b, and pump Gas, is awesome. I was asking as he jumped up 4-5 mph on the big end. So I'm assuming he was making more power.
Did you let out of it at the end. I thought you would of carried more mph, thru the traps with a stock converter considering your 1/8 mile. I did something simular, and am driving the my car with a stock turbo. That by itself, feels amazing. Just to drive it, at this point. Keep up the great work.
I'm not sure why everyone going to o-ring and copper headgaskets? MLS, and standard ARP's is all you'll need for a street car. Unless you have a filled block, and run 60-120 psi. I wouldn't bother with it.
It won't seal without the receiver grove. If you want to make it work. Swap out the steel, for copper and use a MLS. The way you have it setup, a stock felpro type would be your only choice.
Maybe aluminum rods and balance cranks? Ported and polished head.........Depending on the compression used maybe nitrous. Put in some methonal with "high lift/ medium duration cams" and let it eat................ With small turbos, it's all about the little stuff to get a good number.
No, problem. Look at some of some of the fastest times pages, or dyno pages. Anything, before 2006 and if they were making power. It more they likely, where on those Rods. On youtube, type in brad brooks 42r. That 1k plus 2g had those rods in it, @ 54 psi I believe. Rich Glorriso, used them...
I guess, I'd never expected them to hit or are they designed for that. However, after looking at the aftermath. I felt had they bent, before they broke. It would have been far less damage. I then went with a different brand the cost more, to prevent that from happening if ever again. 3000.00+...
They were used on higher horsepower builds for the 4g63. They've been past 1000 awhp. I believe it was Dave Bushur, who said to check them for roundness.
I will forever stay with Ferrera valves on any of my builds from now on. I used Super-Tech's for many years, and this past year I had pistons contact the head. They broke off and took out the pistons.
Run it at the track. depending on how you drive it should dip into the into with that power. Not to bad, considering it's pump gas with low timing numbers.
Mine's looked like the one on the left but my rods are currently H beams. The pistons used have a 22mm wrist pin and my I beams were 21mm units. After some seat time, I'll put my alu. Rod motor in the car.
Update, had some high compression CP on Eagle combo. I was going to sell them, but decided to use to get more seat time in the car. Night in day difference even with the head, and new k288 combo aswell. Car has alot more torque, off boost. Now I need to have it retuned, and I'll let you know the...
