i have a 92 eclipse with a 6 bolt 2.0, i have read some information and some people are saying that manual trannys DO and DONT have pilot bushings. well my question is do they or do they not have them. thanks
I have a 93 eclipse with a 1.8 soon i will have a 2.0t and along with that upgrade, i will be upgrading my brakes i was wondering could i throw on double piston calipers (the stock ones) with my single caliper bracket or do i have to change the caliper bracket aswell thanks.
aj
has anyone tried them? If so do you like them? have you found any pros or cons in using them. just want to get some response from people who have tried them thanks.

was wondering... didnt some of the earlier EVO's come with a 6 speed manual... and did they mount on the passanger side. If the previous statement is true... then why dont they continue to offer 6 speed trannys and does anyone know where i can pick one up. Also if the first question is true what...
To answer your question, to my knowledge no they do not make a turbo manifold for the 1.8, well most N/A engines are going to have a high compression ratio to give it some power so you wouldnt be able to run much boost. I have a 93 eclipse with the 1.8 and im planning on doing a 4g63t swap...
hey sup, i was just wondering if anyone had anything good to say about a product called Lucas oil stabilzer... its basicly a think snot thats supposed to thinkin your oil i believe... well thanks for any input.
:dsm:
a way to stop the ticking... well you could probably buy a new set of lifters i think the make a aftermarket set that is supposed to not tick but i dont know if they work or not, and the lifters are not that cheap if you have a very small budget i believe they can run 17.00 and up for one. You...
for the ticking that is your lifters... our cars do that sorry its annoying i know it. for the overheating how old or how long ago did you change your thermostat? and for you belts if you say you had no power steering then it might have been your power steering belt but besides that theres you...
I know that the 6 bolt is the BEST, but the pickings are kinda slim around where i am, i was wondering could i buy a 7 bolt engine and drop a forged 6 bolt crank in there or is the block different as well? thanks
might want to check your coolent temp. sensor, i had to replace mine becouse it took like 12 times to start the car when it was cold but when it was warm it cranked up like it was new.
i have a messed up problem, my oil is leaking out and its quite noticable not like a drop here.. a drop there. Its more like 1.5- 2 quarts about ever 300 miles i drive. now i replace the gasket once before and used RTV sealant, it seems to be coming out between the block and the pan with the RTV...
well the story goes like this, I was cruzin along as soon as i got off the interstate the brake caliper fall off my front driver side wheel.. losing half my brakes and having the caliper wedge itself locking up the wheel... but never fear i have it fixed and back on the road in like a day.. but...
only thing im worried about is that if i can still get hold of the parts i need for the car ... and not have to spend to much searchin through junk yards... i know it happened last month.. and i posted this topic before but not in this part of the forum. Really i only want to know if is, if i...
with this partner ship broken there is some rumors floating around that mitsu may be bought out or will not be in the states anymore... anyone hear such things? if this is true, it makes me sad considering i love my 1g and have put plenty of money and hard work into and i still have stuff i want...
i wanted to know did mitus make a galant that had all wheel steering and AWD? if this is true did they also keep there chasis the same to which you could change the chasis from that vehicle to one of the newer galants in which transplant a 3000gt tt motor with 6-speed manual tranny, I know it...
Why are the terriable? anyways.. i wont be able to do turbo stuff since its not all my money thats finacing the motor build, my father is helping out alittle. Im swapping my 1.8 for the 420a for some more power for daily driving. Thinkin for doing head work and maybe changing the comp. ratio...
i may be getting a 420a.. can i put 4g63 pistons and what not in it... i want to bump up the compression ratio. also what parts can i use with this engine.. keep in mind i will be building it for NON TURBO.
yes, i cleaned the gasket completely from both block and pan, the pan seems to be pretty good. it looks like its coming out the sides, i use a brush on type i basicly put a layer of sealent on the pan and the block and samiched the gasket between the two i put a layer of sealent on both sides of...
heres the deal, I have a 1.8 SOHC i replaced the oil pan gasket with a new one twice and it still leaks oil, i thought it might be the main seals but the oil is gushing out around the sides. the sealent i used is SUPER "300" FORM-A-GASKET SEALANT its a brush on type stuff. the engine is stock...
reason im not doing a g63t cuz its not my buget.... its my fathers buget... and he wont help me build a turbo engine. really how hard is it to put a g64 in a 1g and is there much of a aftermarket for it? thanks
Ok i did a search and didnt really find anything. So i was wondering has anyone built up a 4g64 2.4L keeping it N/A and has anyone every put one in a 1g eclipse. Reason i ask is i am considering swapping my 1.8 with a 2.0 N/A but thought i could get more power out of a built 2.4 and might be...
new plugs
new wires
new cap and rotor
new fuel filter
havent kept up with injecters.. i do believe they are the problem, i have new ones coming.
just coving all me bases. thanks
im having trouble starting up when the engine is cold? what sensor controls the fuel to air mixture when the engine is cold, it seems the injectors are reall messed up or its not getting the right mixture to get it running. thanks. ( 1.8 SOHC, no mods )
hey, i have a 93 eclipse with a 1.8 SOHC. The problem is I have trouble starting it when its cold, when the engine is warm it cranks right up. There are new plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor. Could it be a sensor or the injectors. Any and all help please. thanks
hey,
Are the only differences between the 4g63 turbo and non-turbo engines the internals and exhaust manifold or is there a whole list, also are the trannys the same. I know the ECU's will be different. thanks
sup all. I know you probably see this question alot but i have to ask, sorry.
the setup i want to use for my swap is a 6-bolt 4g63t, in which i want 300+ whp daily drivin.stock bore size
port polished 1g head
hks 264 intake and exhaust cams, maybe cam gears too
better intake and exhaust...
i was wondering what does the balance shaft do for the engine, and what would be the advantages of using the balance shaft elemiantor kit?? Also do other engines like honda use balance shafts.
