how hard is it to take a rear end on of a 90 gsx? i have to take it out before this weekend. i have to get the car out of my yard or ill have to pay 100 bones a week until i move it. but its totaled and its kinda hard for me to get under it so about the only way i know to do it is to flip it...

i got one more question. are the splines on a 1990 awd dsm different from the splines on 93 awd dsm. cause i swapped a motor, tranny, and t-case out of a 90 into my 93. i wonder if that couldve had anything to do with it???later JJ

i got under it today and it seems like the driveshaft is still in tact. but thats from just lookin at it not takin it a part or anything. im thinkin either the t-case locked up, the joints hold the 3 piece shaft locked up or the rear end gears are gone. if it is one of these 3 possiblities...

ok i dont know if you all have said this or not because i got tired of reading. i think what you saying could work if what youre saying is that you plan on disengauging the driveshaft from the T-case. if so the motor wouldnt have to turn the rear shaft at all, there for freeing up hp and not...

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. i swapped a 90 motor and tranny into my 93 and it wouldnt shift into 5th and reverse. i kept the stock shifter and linksges. all i did was unscrewed the bolt thing that slips over the little nipple thing on the horizonial bar (the side to side one) on the shifter and...

look im sorry but the 1st gen dsm's arent that pretty and the drift style kit they got a extremedemenions is bad ass. i really like my 93 talon tsi awd but i do plan on puttina kit on it.

one of my boys is getting a 95 gs eclipse for only 300 bucks, the problem is that the tranny is shot. since i have a totalled 1st gen gsx sittin in the back yard i was gonna sell him the motor and tranny. will the tranny and motor go in? :talon: :D
