Could someone ANYONE post or let me know where to find an article on how to completely remove the rear drivers side quarter panel on a 90 talon TSI. I would be soooo appreciative and it could save me like 300 dollars for a body shop to do it. Thank You ALOT in advance
Im having some problems with a set of rx7 wheels that i have. The backs dont clear the rear control arm. I put a 5/16ths spacer on them, but the tires rub against the arm.As for my suspension setup, I have, GC Coilovers (w/ Eibach springs) and kyb AGX's back there...any ideas? Would...
is there any ill effects of the oil pressure being "too high" or is it only when its "too low" that there is a problem. Also mine reads about 30 at a warm idle and 90-120ish during wot.
I couldnt make it...fans wired backwards:( im uber retarded sometimes. I've been overheating forever, didnt know why. I guess blue doesnt go to blue and black doesnt go to black on these slimline fans...wierd. Eh...atleast I got it figured out now. Ill be at the next one barring any major problems.
ill know tonight or tomorrow if my car will be there...ill be there for sure...i know i have a friend coming w/ his dsm also. How many people are we lookin at bein there. Are we trying to do anything after we meet up or just chill by the smoke stacks?and how many people are coming?
tubular manifold is what the mess is. I dont think you need that...that would really be jumping the gun. I would just keep the manifold you have (not really a header) port it and the 02 housing and do a full turbo back exhaust...do it all at once, take care of the whole exhaust system for years...
I would suggest gettin a full exhaust before gettin the fmic. At this moment with no mods the front mount isnt going to do much for you whereas the exhaust will...plus prettymuch no matter what you plan on doing in the end..youre gonna need a full exhaust for it.
Im having the same problem. I was just going to buy a new oil filter housing. I was reading, i think on RRE's website ( i could be mistaken ) but if you have your BS removed you may want to open up the oil pressure relief valve. Like make it bigger. Is that true. Or should I just get a new oil...
make sure the alternator pulley is not moving, make sure the water pump pulley isnt moving (ie. lose bolts or the actual water pump shaft is messed up). Other than that...make sure nothing is hitting the belt. One of those should fix the problem.
As far as I can see in your profile you already have everything you need to support the 50 trim. I say...get an internally gated 50 trim...sell the wastegate that you have...use any extra money towards cams.
well heres my problem. My logger will do all of the tests...(i.e..injector tests) but it wont log anything. I've looked all over here and cant find anyone who had the same problem. Im not getting a serial comm error or anything, just no data. It worked previously, but my logger battery died, i...
I dont kno what cylinder that is in the highlighted section of area 1. If that is removed you can fit 2 12" fans there. If it is not removed then you can only fit 1 12" fan in the spot where area 2 is. Hope that helps.
i wasnt "running w/o one" i just took it out for about an hour to see if the thermo was the problem. If it didnt overheat w/o one, then it shouldnt overheat w/ one....i figure i obviously have a problem w/ the thermostat that was in there. Im gonna get a new one from the dealer and see how that...
no i removed the thermo and its fixed...havnt put one back in yet. Also for some reason my logger wont read anything now. It will do all the tests but not any readings....any ideas? could a certain fuse be blown? all i did was wire my fans up to be on all the time.
ok so i took the thermostat out today...filled up the coolant system as it was before...I ran it for about an hour up our worst hills and it didnt overheat. It barely even went halfway. This is far better than what i was getting before. so...just wanna make sure...does that point to the...
Now to the thermostat...i have tried two of them. I THINK they were 180's, i could be wrong. They are the same one from the local advance auto. They could be crappy, i dont know. Looking in their online store it is made by beck/arnley. Is there like a "good" brand i should go with? Also for...
how can i tell if i have a failing water pump? and yeah its has a brownish tint...not really "muddy" looking but its brownish. It doesnt come close to smelling or looking like it did when i blew the hg...it is still more on the greenish side. (the color of the coolant) I believe the fans are set...
Well i have been having some overheating problems for a while now. I have done almost everything i can think of doing. The car gets up to temps around 230 and has even got to 240 at one point. The following are what i have done...Note: I have extremepsi's street fmic. I bought 2 slim fans from...
wow...my temps are off the charts then. My logger reads temps around 220ish near all the time. Yesterday it got to about 240ish. I dont lose coolant, but i definatley shut off the car once i noticed overheating. Ive had this problem for a while...its not the headgasket, already did that. I had...
700 some dollars to tweak a t25 on stock 450's?....enough said.Sounds like a slogan...DSMlink....It does all kinds of cool sh!t.Honestly...other than tune...it does what?...nitrous...i dont see that being needed anytime soon. Logging...he already has that covered. Timing Control...im...
why would anyone tell him to get link as his next mod? Yeah its a nice and he will want it down the road but what is he going to do with it now? Theres nothing to tune...hes running stock 450's.If you are asking for your next "mod"....ONE mod...it has to be the oil pressure. Thats going to...
I dont know...that sounds very wierd. You shouldnt be going through calipers like that. Are they actually siezed? I know it may sound stupid but how are you doing with the brake fluid?
Yeah the brackets dont work. If you are really in a rush you could use zipties. Other than that, go to advance auto...they have little things that will hold the fans down perfectly. They cost like 8 dollars or so for 4 of them. (2 packs if you are using 2 fans) You dont use the brackets that are...
heres a question. My friend seems to think it could be a timing issue. Could that be the case? I took the spark plugs out and they are not brown like I was told they would be if I had a blown headgasket.
I just had this problem a few days ago. Im assuming everything is hooked up correctly. What is the datalogger sayin the cel is on for? My problem was that water got into one of the plugs. Dried that out...worked fine. Now another problem could be maybe the gmmaf isnt facing the right direction...
Alright heres my question. I just got my motor and everything assembled. The other day I was driving my car and I was watching all of my guages and everything seemed fine. Well i start going up a hill and my water temp increases drastically (yeah im using the stock guage) so the needle gets...
it doesnt....that is unless i want to run a wire into where the ecu is to tap it into the harness...(i dont want to do that at all)...one of the 2 black wires that go into the CAS can be tapped into for RPM.***EDIT***I didnt see the post post before this one as I was in the process of...
Hello all, I am installing my translator that I bought off of a guy who is local to me. It wasnt new so he didnt have the instructions still. I have everything all hooked up other than the CAS wire. There are 4 wires that go into the CAS, 2 of them are black. Which wire do I tap into? Thanks
Alright so I am trying to install my SAFC I...everything with the 24 pin connector is fine. The problem I am having is with the little 10 pin connector. The vfaq on vfaq.com says to connect the red wire from the safc to the red with black stripe power wire which is the 2nd wire from the...
Heres some news to...Autometer makes a braided kit for the oil pressure guage. Its like 50 dollars or so...but 70+50 = 120...still ALOT less than the electronic guage and for some will give ya peace of mind. :thumb:
That sounds very odd, havn't I read that it is a lifetime recall. Not a you can bring it in once, we will see what we can do recall, but they have to continue to fix it for the lifetime of the vehicle...even if it craps out every weekAhh...here it is...:)...
THAT'S RIGHT!!!! I dont know why all of you college students are drinkin keystone light. Keystone ice costs the same and serves your purpose far better. It's like the only beer I drink, I dont really enjoy beer alot but its the one i was introduced to so I can drink it. I'm more of a liqour fan...
Yes you are going to "knock" out the rubber piece. That sounds alot easier than it really is. I know you can torch them out, and pretty much have to use a torch to get them out, but another option is having them pressed out. I just let my local machine shop do that...it cost nearly nothing...
