Honestly, it'll be more than just a hair past the fender, especially on the fronts is where you'll notice it most. blackGSX2g has some good insight as well, and hopefully he can dig up some pics to show his findings as I've noticed my gallery is really of no help. But in all honestly, I would...
Mind you, they'll noticeably stick past the fender. I'm running 18x8.5 w/ ET35 and I mine stick ever so slighty beyond the front fender.I'll be curious to see what your will look like...
The parts used to make the ducts were scrap pieces from the 2Ga front bumper. That and some bonding product got me that. Have to give credit to my buddy Josh who did it ... it good in person. Thanks for the compliment. Just trying to throw out ideas....
The nascar carbon idea was a good one.... checked and for the most part all I could find were circular pieces. But makes me think there are vents to be found somewhere. When I couldn't find what I was looking for I had some customer made...And for those curious. This was just the...
Depends on if you like them. I think they are 16" x 6.5"For 200 I don't think you'll anything better. If you are looking to spend more money you options will be much better.
Sorry, I feel terrible. Maybe I actually know the correct spelling of the word and meaning so I set the topic title accordingly. My apologies crimsondragon. ::laughs::I'll give it to you dyno_detour. Travis Pastrana's Big Wreck at Colorado Cog definitely wins in the WOW factor but I thought...
Pull the rubber piece the creates the seal against the windows down away from the arch as it is press fit in there. Then you'll expose a set of phillips screws that need to be removed so you can repaint/refinish the trim.If you are talking about the peices directly on the door they are held...
That was fantastic. I was jumping around so much those last three laps that I almost put my hand in a running ceiling fan (only because I was jumping up and down on the couch during all this).Ya, Hamilton should have that win. I think F1 is still holding grudge against McLaren...
So I guess you guys don't like it. Fair enough...I had thought of the RMDSM lip but I've had one in the past, on another GSX, and managed to rip clean off on a dip in one of the streets -- that thing was like a shovel it picked up everything until it broke.Well, I'm gonna give it try ...
ABS plastic, not going to be molded but don't think it needs to be ... in my mind it ties it in with the ground effects on the rest of the car meaning door caps / side skirts. See what I mean from the lip to door in the pictures attached.?.?Ultimately, it was this DSMtuner's car (sorry...
OT .:. that is by far my most favorite valve cover ever. I'm gonna say it now ... I have to copy on my ride since I have to have one modified for more crank case pressure release on my setup.Sorry for the disturbance, carry on!
That'd be the front most bolt. I had to do the same thing on my 8.5" rims. Like Ludachris said though I'm just not sure I can justify moving to a sweet 9" (because it seems like that is when the rims look most extreme meaning concave face) when my 8.5" wheels do the job so well with 245/40ZR17...
Going in for plastic surgery.... I know, the guys who've seen me couldn't be happier but it's actually the car that's getting the surgery.Lip surgery to be exact! After I found out that I couldn't get the TOTalon lip any longer I've picked this one up as the supplies appear to be drying up...
Holy old thread revival by me... OMGAwesome description of the process involved, that's probably what was done on mine as well. Just seems you know the products involved it a bit better. Thanks for sharing. As for the motor, built 6 bolt motor w/ 9:1 compression wisco pistons on eagle...
Thought you were talking about this... v. see pic below .vDon't want to hi-jack dennyt4's thread but since he asked (and others) how the fogs where filled in I'll do my best to answer. I can't take any credit for it as that was my buddy Josh who does awesome auto/body work. What I can tell...
You may have already made up your mind, but I say go for it. I've got EDM mirrors and tails and that is something that sets you apart from the thousands, maybe tens of thousands of other DSMs out there. Regardless of what's said it is unique.BTW, I've read you other post and congrats on...
It passed the Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato test really easy? That's fantastic!! Seriously, kudos for trying something different. Without trying something different there is no real advancement ... I understand you were somewhat limited on peformance without the ability to integrate the velocity...
I can assure you he will see considerably lower coolant temps due to this mod. My vents are much smaller but I see much lower temps because of this.dennyt4 good job on trying something new. My originall thoughts were to do something similar before I settled on my current setup. BTW, aside...
Luckily, in this picture, you can't see the exhaust cutout because I would imagine that would silly.Haha. Glad you guys find this as amusing as I did...:tease:
99 GST-RWould you mind taking one more picture of the car from say 15 ft. away at an angle? Would love to see the entire car from distance at an angle. Thanks.Something like this so I can compare:
As I'm really interested in this hood, I'll hog the forum and continue this discussion. With regard to rain, I think you should judge for yourself where the vents would actually sit with the relation to the engine. If the vents sit over the coil pack, any electronics, then I would leave them...
I think you should be able to remove the plastic portions covering the vents from the underside based on what I see in the pictures. Also, I believe user slippi84 explained in one of his posts this could be done. Go give it a try!!
I understand you are manipulating weight and 1/4 mile times, what are you putting for trap speed? Just trying to get a better understanding as this thing is off for me. Thanks.BTW, if you don't mind, see the SC2 fiberglass hood for 99 eclipse thread revived in the...
Nice tool, but doesn't take into account the biggest variable of all .. the driver. My 500 HP eclipse managed an 11.7 @ 125 because I plain stunk at driving it.Per the calculator it says:Elapsed Time Method = 376.4 HP
Trap Speed Method = 464.9 HPSo, if I was a great driver it would be...
Speak the truth my brother, speak the truth. In my opinion spoilers are an addition to the carm whether it be low rise or high rise. No offense, but no spoiler screams RS to me.KEEP IT!!
Good insight, thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately my Honda sized battery is a tad bigger than the the JM kit will allow for .. but I'm going to stay with that battery as it affords me the ability to leave my doors open, stereo on, dome light, etc for longer than a few minutes that would drain...
Thanks for the explanation guys, I really appreciate it.I got the following response to my question from UMS Tuning:But what I like is that you guys have contributed your thoughts/impressions of this product and in turn have sold me on it where before I may not have been. Big thanks to you...
Well, I've got a smaller 'Honda' type battery located in the engine bay due to my Magnus SMIM. I'm currently using the factory battery tie down but find it lacking. Was wondering if any of you have made, or bought for that matter, battery boxes that resolved your issues. And I know there are...
