I agree. If that engine ever shows up I wouldn't run it without going over it completely anyway. Dude is unable to figure out shipping also. Unbelievable.
You're welcome sir. Pay no mind to the painted lenses. We all make mistakes. 😄 I have some JDM tails with broken corners and I'm trying to figure out if I can swap the housings as these are perfect. There's a divider in the JDM tails for the turn signal so I'll have to figure out if it can be...
We just went through the exact same thing not too long ago and a bunch of us missed it. 😆 Wasn't gonna miss it this time. Lol.Thread 'Rotors won’t fit over e brake' https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/rotors-won%E2%80%99t-fit-over-e-brake.543402/
It looks like at least the first year of the 3rd Gen utilized the same knuckle as the 2g. As far as when they switched to a larger pin is anybody's guess but we know enough to skip the early 3g and concentrate on the later years.E56A, EA3A and EA8A are a mid 90s to mid 2000s Galant so...
It's too bad Mitsubishi didn't sell these separately so I can't look up the part numbers and cross reference but I believe early 2000s galants used the larger ones as well. Here's a shitty photo of one from a 2003 Galant which was hacked up a bit.
Ahh. That makes sense. I thought you were having issues on the side with the odd sized pin. So basically you're looking to find another pin with a larger seat.
Is it rubbing on the knuckle also? I'm not sure the different shock pin is the issue here. With a larger seat than OEM I would think it would place the mounting point farther away from the knuckle giving you more clearance, no? All things being equal on the other side I'm trying to wrap my brain...
I measured a 2ga FWD, 2ga AWD and 2gb AWD pins and found no major differences between them.I also installed them all into a 2gb knuckle just for shits and giggles and to remove all doubt.
Those are Galant knuckles.Edit.
Actually looking into it a bit further it appears that many online Mitsubishi retailers list those as being compatible with your car which is obviously false. The proper part numbers for 2gb knuckles are MR223655 and MR223657There are 2gb knuckles for sale in...
I'm not sure what it is about seeing the Mitsubishi part labels but it gets me excited every time; probably because so many parts are discontinued. Seeing that many in one photo is pornographic.
Holy shit. How does a person not notice that they don't fit that way? Sorry dude but at least now you know what went wrong and to stay clear of that shop. Go over and double check everything they touched. Damn.
Pretty much everything is being replaced. I don't like the route I took with the interior/exterior back in the 90s and early 2000s. I kinda wish I simply did a 2gb swap and kept the interior less colorful. 😆 I guess it turned some heads so it wasn't all bad and was fairly quick. The current plan...
So, seeing as the rear 330mm TCE rear big brake kit would be the same size as the Stillen kit up front, I have realized that I was in need of an upgrade. I reached out to none other than Bobby G and he put together this kick ass 360mm 6 piston brake kit for me. I will attempt to fit it behind...
