Went with there 4500 stall converter. Thanks! I went down on injector because I wanted to go to an injector that was compatible with VP Import since I went away from Ethanol. The 2150s won't work with Import unfortunately. We tried a bunch of things with no success. The 1/2" bolts on the...
Decided to switch up a few things.Switched to VP Import along with FICs new 1650cc injectors.Switched to 2g auto trans built by me along with the straight cut transfer gears and a Precision converter.Pretty much all done and ready for some retuning in the next week.
A couple more updates. I had my buddies at PSI Proformance build me an intake entering at the bumper since I don't have much free time any more. Turned out just how I wanted it! Also got a new tow rig! Can't wait to hit the track! The cap is OFF! First thing I did.
Is winter over yet? Sheesh. Been a while since I updated this thread. Been super busy with work so I barely get to touch the car. My buddy Karl from KP Tuning helped me out and came over to my garage while I was at worked and fired the car on the new AEM and is going to dyno tune it this...
We're not going to pick apart everyone's cars. Basically we're not looking for tins cans in the street classes. Mike is correct, front seats, dash, carpet, door panels. We aren't concerned if you have heat, wipers, radio, etc. Just as long as it resembles a street car.Bring it out, race...
All NHRA requirements apply to all cars but are not part of the class designations. Tech may be a bit lax for the event but I still wouldn't skimp on safety if I were you.
For those of you who haven't been following along on Facebook, the list of racers that have already confirmed is amazing! It's going to be a great event so don't miss it!Just to give you an idea....here's the confirmed Quick 16 class so far. There are classes for every one of you! Check it...
No sir, just going to be using a triggerdisc.Still going to be shifting manually with the ratchet. I have it down to a science now. We had boost by gear w/ Link but it still was set w/ the same target boost in every gear. Can't wait to head back out as soon as it warms up with the new...
One other thing I had to do while the car was down was swap out the head gasket. The #2 cyl exhaust side of the HG was no longer cooperating. I believe this happened at MIR when the motor was overheated on the last run of the weekend. Didn't realize the water was low unfortunately. Adding that...
You should get a Dynatek and use the 2 step function on there. Works much better than the one native to Link (assuming thats what you're using). Congrats again Kevin.
Thanks guys. The catch can line BS was a fluke mistake. Sucks but oh well. The car is down for the rest of the year so I will be taking this time to clean things up and make a few small changes. Budget dependent, i'm hoping to get a few things changed up...-k-member

Jake blew a headgasket before his first pass. He let off each of his first 3 passes to anywhere from a 9.4 to a 10.x at low mph. In the final he went 9.0x @ 152 letting of a bit early as well.Rough day for everyone to say the least.
Jeff had a trans issue. Trevor had a starter issue. Jake won Forced Induction Pro (1,2 DSM finish in that class) and a DSM took 2nd in Forced Induction Sport.
Decent day at the track today. 9.17@150 and 9.14@151 at 39psi. Still need to turn the 2step up a bit more and crank the boost some more. Day was cut short when I forgot to reattach the valve cover breather lines after draining the catch can. Engine bay was coated in 20w50....literally EVERY...
Last piece to the puzzle. Between these and the dual piston calipers I have going on, I really hope we can hold the car back stalling it up w/ the 100 shot. If all goes well, we should be hitting the track next week.
Pretty sure they're not specific to anything. They do a lot of domestic chassis fab. Will message you guys as to not cause any issues on here.Anyone else interested just PM me.
Weighs 24lbs from what I was told. 40lb weight drop. He had 10 of them built and has them ready to ship in an auto/manual rack/no sway bar setup. Pretty sure power rack could easily be made to work and the 5spd mount could be changed too. These are made in MD by a big domestic fab shop. The...
