Hrmm. Well I torn into the afpr to do a rebuild and discovered this:I am 100% sure this had to be causing the problem, wish I would have pulled it apart before I just ordered the rebuild kit!

Well mine is well heat cycled and pretty damn old so I am hoping it is just the rebuild.

Thanks guys, I pulled the fuel filter and cleaned it as it was a cleanable one. It was very clean already but got any little specs of grime I could find off of it. I have the afpr rebuild kit on the way.

That would be easy enough other than I don't have a spare or know of anybody with a spare so I think I will just spend the 20 bucks and rebuild this one.

That was the owner before me so I will have to check. I want to be able to drive this car frequently so I might as well just get a fuel filter, rebuild the afpr, and a fuel pump. All those parts have been on the car for quite some time.

The fuel filter is my main suspect. Unfortunately it is a aeromotive and I need to figure out which one so I can order a new one. All the fuel lines are stainless steel so I don't have to worry about twisting them.

Do fuel pumps slowly die? I thought they kind of just were good or dead.

I am looking into buying a mightymax that has the 2.4liter motor and had a 4g63t head on it until it bent valves. Can I use regular 4g64 turbo pistons for that motor, like the ones from Wiesco? I would like to stay with the 2.4 instead of swapping in a 2.0 4g63 like everyone else.

Exactly what the title states, I hooked up my boost leak tester to my turbo where my intake would attach and I could hear some liquid bubbling. It sounded to thin to be oil so coolant? I have no idea whats up?

Are you sure you did not possibly fry the ecu?

P.S mine does exactly what you are saying because I removed my cold start from my car, when it was acting up. I have to step slightly on the gas to start the car and it will not idle properly until the motor is slightly warmed up.

Do you still have your cold start feature on your car, I apologize I can't think of the sensor but it is on the bottom of the throttle body and it cracks open the throttle to allow more fuel in when the motor is cold. And when the motor is warm it does not open, so that kinda sounds like what...

Make sure your oil level is correct, make sure you have proper oil pressure. Sounds most likely to be a short though.

Having all the dash lights on sounds like an alternator but that wouldn't have anything to do with the engine firing or running on 3 cyclinders I don't think? Do you have to jump the car?
