If you paint that RMDSM lip spoiler, plan on painting it like every couple of months.....your gonna scrape that thing like mad. Leave it how it is or paint it black.
I love how mature you sound on your replies, I'll keep it adult though...We're splitting hairs here. Your saying it will provide downforce, which I don't argue, but will the amount of dowforce provided be NOTICEBLY useful on a FWD or AWD car at speeds we drive at? Don't think so. I'm not...
You know, you don't have to be suck a little f'in pr*ck about it, if I don't agree w/ your opinion, I'm not gonna talk sh*t about you....JeeeshI'm just relaying info I've read numerous times on DSM Talk AND AND AND my local list which has some very good DSM Guru's on it. Have I had one...
That 12.5% value can be very deceiving b/c that is the MAXIMUM value that it will show. So a 12.5 will read 12.5, a 20.2 will show 12.5, a 40 (not likely, but) will show as 12.5. I think you're still a ways off. Also, try going at cruise for 10+, not 7, it will be more accurate. The 5 mins...
I know exactly what you're talking about here b/c my friend had a TT and they had to add that, among other things, because of the Autobahn incidents. But those were problems that were occurring at 150+ mph, certainly speeds not seen HERE, by any intelligent people at least. What you are saying...
I think all the pro-fiberglass people don't realize how HARD it is to tear urethane. It takes a lot of effort, like 5 -10 more effort than would crack fiberglass. I've scraped the bottom of my bumper many times, and had yet to have any damage or paint spidering from it. Try that with...
I don't have that setup, but generally 650cc injectors should be set at -31% or -32% global. My FP 650's are set at -31%. Your turbo size doesn't matter, only your injectors.
Uhh, so you drive you car around regularly at 130 mph? That's when they start to make even a BIT of difference, and then not even much. True, race cars use them, but we don't have race cars.
Can't afford it? How do you know most people can't afford to do it? I can easily afford it but I don't wan't to waste $2k to make my car look fugly and riced. I'd rather spend it on stuff that is useful for my car. Some people have TASTE, it's not a matter of $$.

www.revolutionsmotorsports.comThey have better prices than Mach V, also someplace called "Mach III" have better as well.Vent: Carbontrix CF hood vent custom molded onto stock hood.
A huge advantage to the side-side flow is that it allows much more air to flow to the radiator than the top-bottom b/c the top-bottom endtanks block air from flowing through, whereas side-side does not b/c end tanks are on the sides. People who think overheating is something they'll "figure out...
The only problem w/ those is that they weigh more than a van full of fat chicks. I think the 17's weigh in at over 23 lbs., which I WAY too much for a 17" wheel. Plus, Pep Boys carries em', not a good sign.www.wheelmax.com
www.whalentire.comThese have much better prices on Rota...
A CF or aluminum wing on a FWD or AWD car is rice b/c it's non-functional. On a RWD car it's a different story b/c the real wheels actually NEED downforce.
I hate rice b/c most of the guys who are ricers think "105hp engine + muffler + intake + nasty bodykit + fugly rims= fastest car ever". So they think they can outrun everything b/c they LOOK fast (even that is subjective). They give everyone w/ an import a bad name b/c they drive stupid, act...
For PERFORMANCE, like this guy wants, get the ground control's. Check out their site and their wealth of knowledge, ability to get custom spring rates, etc.www.ground-control.comThen check those 'other' sites, guarantee ground control impresses you much more.
You know it's illegal to not have a 3rd brake light, right? Just one more reason for the po-po to pull your over and harass you. Plus, if you get rear-ended by some idiot, they cops can say YOU were at fault b/c your car did not have the proper brake setup. Seen it happen before.
Yeah, too bad I didn't get it done at Midas or any other crap shop. I got it made at a shop that is well know in AZ and builds exhausts for many race cars and even races their own car at the track. Wow, your thermal looked pretty when it was put on, but how is it better now that it's been...
Just b/c I didn't pay some vendor $$$ for an exhaust doesn't mean it's not REAL or 3 in. I don't consider having a good exhaust shop custom making you a turbo back to be backyard mechanics at all. How is it any different than going through a vendor, besides price? It's a guy welding pipes...
Uh, isn't it much easier to look at the big tach in your gauge cluster just below your field of view than to look near your radio for a small tach? IMO, that IS ricey, you already have a tach. A shift light or even a blinky A/F meter is a better option.
That seriously messes up your suspension geometry. You'd be amazed at your handling improvement if you swapped out your ghetto cut coils and but some Eibach's on there.
Buy the mandrel bends from summit or jcwhitney or road race, buy some flanges, and buy a Magnflow or Dynomax straight thru muffler and take it all to a muffler shop and have them weld it up for you. You can have a complete turbo back for around $350-$500, which is about the cost of a big name...
You don't have to send it off again, you'd just have to reset your dead time and global fuel. What they burn into the chip is just a base setting, it's easily changed.
No, that is not correct. DSMLink doesn't 'fool' the ECU like the AFC does; it is using the ECU and making adjustments. Plus, it has cool things like ignition control, stutter box, fan mod, better datalogging than a pocketlogger, and boost logging ability.
DSMLink=good ideaCams now? Honestly man, just wait and buy something that's gonna give you an increase now and will still be of use later. Exhaust? FMIC? Or just buy the turbo now. Also, fuel pump and bigger injectors would suit you better than cams, for a long time.
I'd save and buy a Quaife. These things work well for a bit, but then that piece starts to wear against the driveline, and wears it down to nothing. So yeah, it works well until it grinds your drivetrain into powder.
Also, those 'dead time' values vary WIDELY, they vary alot between injector manufacturer's. My FP 650cc injectors have 300 deaq time, way different than 180, so that has a big effedt on tuning. After my battery is disconnected then reconnected (restting the ecu), I can feel a difference in how...
I know this was mentioed previously, but you didn't reply to it, so I don't know if you've addressed this. Before you do any tuning w/ DSMLink, you should get your cruise and idle LTFT's near zero. If they're not, then it will affect all your tuning afterwards. First, -35% global seems a...
I would say a big no to all of those, just seems very tacky to me. You already have a widebody kit on your car, how much more attention getting stuff do you need?
Boy, are you sure right. I was one of those unlucky bastards that bought into that farce of a GB. Thankfully, I'm in the process of getting a full refund and getting a REAL fmic kit, not some fairy tale pipe dream..It'll either be a ADFX or an IRC, leaning towards ADFX b/c they have a...
i believe the Mirage stub shaft can be used as a cheap balance shaft elim. solution.I'd to w/ the motor mount inserts, but if the mounts are TOTALLY trashed, then I'd just go full replacement. Can also try windo-weld for em too.
Also, there's a 5 in. monster tach on the middle of the dash ...... nasty. The bumper can be found at www.wholesalehyperformance.comand maybe www.asylumms.com
