For the third line, I teed into my boost gauge line inside the car. Much cleaner. For the other two, one off of the wastegate, the other teed from the bov line. I will get around to putting a nipple on the ic pipe and go from there.--Thorin
1G auto cams are very mild compared to the manual cams. The 92 manual cams are a pretty decent upgrade for 2G's, so it would stand to reason that they would be a pretty good upgrade if you have a 1G auto and are on a budget. If you have some money to spend, then the 264/272 HKS cams are a...
A 1G auto will take a lot to make fast. Stock they have milder cams, a smaller turbo, and smaller injectors. If you want to stick with a 1G, then hold out for a stick. On a 2G, the engines are the same so you don't have that hurdle to overcome. The 30% drivetrain loss, however... :rolleyes...
Stupid question, but have you made sure it is turned on? Does it switch between low and high settings? Are the lights all on?I just hooked mine up the other day, and it wouldn't come on at first. Problem was at the grounding point. Once I fixed that, everything worked like it was...
Fuel cut has nothing to do with a lack of fuel. It has to do with the ECU seeing more air then it thinks it should, so it cuts the fuel to protect itself from overboosting. Adding more fuel to the mix would do nothing if the ECU thinks it is still seeing too much air. What you need is a fuel...
Seriously. Is it really that much harder to type 'you' instead of 'u'? How about 'you're' instead of 'ur'? They put all of the letters on the keyboard for a reason. See if you can figure out what it is.--Thorin
Wow.. I don't know if you have done all the things I had to do in order to make mine work great, but you may want to try the following.First, sand the hell out of the piston until it slides in and out of the sleeve without getting stuck. This took around an hour or so with some fine grit...
Still waiting on this answer. If it is a 1G, then it is completely normal. I finally replaced mine with a TurboXS because the whistle would drive me crazy.
The one for my Spyder fit like a glove. I would give them a call. From what I have heard, they have good support. In fact, I will be calling them to see about trading up my 3 gauge for a 3.--Thorin
 PVC has absolutely no place whatsoever inside of an engine bay. We had a lengthy discussion about this here (ga.dsm.org)Please do youself a favor and read that thread, remove the pvc from your car, and never reccomend it to anyone ever again.--Thorin
If you are doing custom pipes, then you may want to look into a 3" Magnaflow muffler. One of my friends did a custom exhaust system and used one. The thing is practically a straight pass through, and sounds nice.Just as an FYI, he did remark that doing it custom was such a PITA that he...
You need to get a cat-back system. Just welding an N1 style muffler to the stock pipes is almost pointless. I would reccomend either a Thermal R&D catback, or the Apexi catback. Either look on the trader, or RRE.--Thorin
Do yourself a favor and read the fuel pump tech tips on RRE's site. You will see how much better you will be by simply rewiring. Depending on your setup, you may not need a new one for quite a while.--Thorin
Have you done your tranny mods yet? Shift kit and end clutch? I don't know if you are on the AT list, but you should be. There are a couple guys in the 10's on AT's now and they are very friendly and helpful.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AT-DSM/--Thorin
