I haven't pushed the setup with low fuel, but its never shown a problem.[edit] To clarify, I had to add a check valve on the second return to force the siphon to work. Then everything worked great.
I've been able to fit two -8an bulkheads on the 2G assembly. Takes the right order of assembly, but it works. The black line is a feed line and I had to add the blue one as a secondary return; two 044s are too much for the siphon.
Thanks for the heads up Craig, I'll let you know when I need another catch can.The vented BOV does cause a rich condition after opening but its not unbearable. I'll be swapping to SD soon though to so won't be a problem anymore.
Craigs on top of it.
This is the exact filter. Figured I'd try it. The hose from it goes right to the IM, its just hidden under that part of the firewall to make the turn. And yep, its a -10an vented oil cap. Was made by Hal a while back. I intended to have it face the other way, but the...
Just another reference point for those with evo wheels:
I got bigger tires, M&H 245/45-17's, and they just barely scuff the rear uprights, so I added a 3mm spacer (rear only).
Thanks guys!TSIAWD666, I believe your catchcan is hooked up backwards. Look at how everyone else ran their hoses.Hah, thats funny. I might make it worse for 'em, I have some black dye I've been debating trying on the redtop, which would only hide it more.
Got my catch can install finished up last night. Thanks again Craig!I'd also like to thank gofer for his tips on lowering the battery, flipping the battery tray worked great.
This link was recently posted on a local forum. The write-up is horrible so ignore it, but it has the picture you're looking for.http://www.pinktemple.com/stroker.html
I'm trying to build a long rod G4CS, but am being severely delayed because I can't get the 156mm rods for it. If ANYONE has any suggestions for a source please let me know.Marco can get them for $750, but his phone guy couldn't even tell me what brand or how long it'd take it to make...
I wouldn't run anything except an ACT street disk. Might as well buck up and buy a new one too. You'd hate to pull the trans again in a month to replace it.
You up here now? We have a decent DSM crowd, but I haven't seen a car like yours around. I was at the autocross today, but didn't race because I didn't get there till mid afternoon.
Does the RS come with a part to put in place of the blue nozzle to re-circulate it? After reading previous post it doesn't seem like it does, but I was looking on eBay and an auction says:
"Adjustable Spring Rate, Re-circulation Hose Adaptor"...
I won $100 at the Import Showdown in 2003 for fastest street DSM.Also won 2 trophies for fastest import at Brainerd Optimist (outside Chattanooga, TN).
Put the plug wires in the stock order and swap the blue wires on the coil packs... much easier and simplier. If you had an SAFC before make sure the ECU airflow wire has been reconnected.
I made a 12.05 pass at 117 with the 3052... It was 3 am and I couldn't drive though. The track was slick (dew), I missed 2nd, and the tune was far from final. Went back a couple weeks ago looking for a solid 11 second pass, but I broke the trans instead. :|Shep has the tranny right now...
I just put a new ACT 2600 and ACT flywheel in my car... I also had the disengagement problem. Pulled it all back apart, inspected everything, and talked to ACT. Everything was right, so I put it back together. My problem was the pressure plate bolts weren't tight enough. The ACT guy said 25...
Congrats... you found me. :thumb:Hopefully I'll get a new clutch in the car soon and be back at the track more.
I was pretty happy with the 7.9 @ 86 since I was on pump gas and the clutch was slipping really bad.
They wouldn't sell it to me. I really wanted the cool SS drain line, but they said they stopped having them made and were only selling the blue drain lines now.
The EVO 16G is not the same as a big 16G.I have no experience with either, but I trust Robert at FP enough to believe what he says about it.http://www.teamnabr.com/ubbpub/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000219#000001
This "very well made" part is longer sold because it leaks. ;)Just so you guys know, the Tial 40 has been discontinued so the FP 30's now use a Tial 44mm watsegate. Here are pictures of my FP 3052 assembled off the car with the 44mm Tial WG and exhaust attached. It arrived 12/3/03...
I was having the same green or 3052 debate with myself. Both were going to be external for me so that didn't play in as much. After research and talking to FP I now have a 3052 sitting beside me (got it yesterday :) ).Pictures of the FP 3052Tial stopped making the 40mm wastegate, so I...
Its 50/50.The VCE locks it into 4wd. There will be NO "slipping" so if you make a sharp corner tires will bounce becuase they are all forced to spin at the exact same speed. If you drop (remove) the transfer case and drive shaft the car is then FWD. Normal driving and dynoing is fine, don't...
I've followed the shop closely. I sorta knew David and Daniel when they owned DSM-Performance when it was in AL. At that time it was the same shop as exterme-turbo.com. I bought my turbo from them at this time. They then moved to SC, where they moved in with ATR, an exhaust and grand national...
I put well over 10k on my ETE 32 without any problems but sold it because of its small exhaust housing. Also, I'd be very leary of extremeturbo.com -just looks fishy to me.I'm about to buy another "big" turbo... Its either going to be from AGP or FP.Spool was fast (small exh...
Its very doubtful that someone elses settings will work for you. Every car seems to be different. I spent a couple hours toying with my settings. Now both cruise and idle are very near zero. Note, both cruise and idle LTFT will not stay at 0 all the time, they just wonder around that area...
www.roadraceengineering.com for the gasket. The stock exhaust manifold is fine with a ported turbo. Its not "that" bad, but porting the collector is advisable.
I drew the light power for mine from the lighted ring around the cig lighter. It works well. The main power was drawn from the actual cig lighter power.
:shakes head in amazement:Just wondering, what did you learning in your welding classes?Welding cast iron often cracks it and is generally not a good idea.
