Well even with the stock 2G manifold the turbo was tooo big. But honestly all that I did was bolt it on and tighten it evenly and slowly. The turbo poshed in the aluminum pipe as I tightened it. Do you have any boost creep issues. That is where my woes are. I have the BP housing that was...
The BEP Housing is an A/R .50 to keep the spool up realatively low approx 4200. The turbo usually comes with a t-3 twin inlet (A/R .63) from DODGE. If you wanted to stay with the t-3 all you need do is purchase the t3 manifold. And have a DP made to fit.
Hey wiseman I am external...The internal flapper door has been removed completely, and the hole to the outside welded shut. Now the 38mm flapper hole is still open. BTW I have had this set up for 1 year with no problems. Just switched from a small fmic with 2 1/2 inlet/outlets to a huge fmic...
I have an HX-35 with the bullseye housing. It used to be internally gated with the 38mm flapper. But I took the door out and welded the hole from the actuator arm shut. I now run a Tial 38mm external WG off the O2 housinf and am still having boost creep issues. Even when connected directly from...
Has anyone had problems with boost creeping. I had a dyno session done this weekend aftrer upgrading my intercooler to a considerably larget unit and my HX-35 want to be at 26psi no matter what. Even on the 1 bar spring it creeps to 26 by redline. Please help
So here it is the Pre-Summer Dyno Day at Tuning Technologies in Colton. FWD and AWD Dyno. Here is the 411. The day is still open for discussion, and all Saturdays in April are open. So hit me back if your interested. Tentatively April 19th is the target day. We need to reserve soon before the...
Get to a junkyard and buy things piece by peice. There is a site called www.ladsm.com and in the claasified section there is a guy selling a plethera of CHEAP!!!! stock parts. I am at the opposite end of the spectrum. My car is near completion and all that holds me back is a $250.00 wide...
And whats funny id your car actually gets better gas milage around town...In normal driving normal shifting is about 3K-3500. So if your turbo dosent spool till 4K than your never in boost around town... That my friends saves lots of gas.
if your looking for big top end power, and not sacraficing spool. I'd suggent going ball bearing. I switched from the B16G to the HX-35, and the lag bothered me for some time. However, I have learned to compensate, and the huge gains up top has me quite amexiac about the whole lag issue...
Worst case senario you can get it tuned on a dyno with a wide band. Make sure you write down your settings for pump gas, and race gas. Our car like to be rich more than stoich so tune conservatively. That is the only way to go until you get a logger and egt. However, consider this. The price...
Clutch Specialties has a great combination they put together utilizing a custom 2100 . 2700, or 2900lb pressure plate and ACT disc. Thier clutches are well made and affordablt. $275.00 714525-4272
I run 2 12 inch FAL fans. One is on the front and one in the back. one pushing and one pulling. The drivers side fan is wired to the harness, and the AC fan is on a manual switch.
Unfortunately I never had the privilege of meeting Matan. It great to see that all of us are coning together to mourn one of our own. I am sorry for all of your loss, and pray for his family..
I have a rather small intercooler from a mazda turbo. Core measurements are 11Lx9Hx3W, and I had 2 1/4 in/outlets put on it. All together it is 11Lx 13Hx3W. What do you guys think??? I think it will flow fine, but I want an experienced opinion. In its favor it is 3 thick...
Thats not exactly true. The right set up can get you what you are looking for. Good clutch, and some slicks can really help. I have found that spinning out of the hole helps the 60 foot times on my cars. Use a 2-step and build the boost up to 5psi and launch hard on slicks. the wheel spin will...
I've been dealing with Megan Racing since they started. And have ever only had great products, and service. These guys know what they are doing. If it was me I'd call till I got a response. Or go down there. But thats the good thing about being in SOCAL. Good luck.
The point is that it is important to know these trivial things to properly diagnose your problems. And "WTF" is not a appreciative response. We are tryin to help. Now the boost leak test is very important, and doing it right is too. You must be at wot, and take the boost as high as you would in...
I used the holset internal WG for a year, and it constantly leaked or came open early. I even sent my original one back and got the newer(small) one. I finally went to the Tial 38mm Sport External Waste Gate. Best decision I ever made. Also Myself, and Tim both use this turbo, and use no...
