is there anything else that is required to run a dis-2 that a stock dsm might not have? does a stock dsm have 2 coil packs.... does the dis-2 really need dual packs?I was looking at the MSD SCI... are they good? The dis-2 is rather expensive for the lil performance im looking at for my NT...
Im in search of a msd dis2 ignition.... i went to a local autozone and bought a ignition and the guy there said it should work on my car..... wrong. but this was the only ignition they had in stock. where online can i find a msd dis2? preferably somewhere where I can use a charge card and get it...

I removed mine but mines not running yet, i ordered a damper UDP in replace of the shafts so the vibration dosent tear my engine apart. When i removed the shafts i noticed they were quite heavy and im sure it put alil more strain on the engine... i would say there would be a difference... maybe...

did u clean your intake after u replace the EGR? the EGR can create a huge buildup, i just cleaned my intake at 160k miles and they build up is terrible. i doubt its your filter.
The larger the shot the more chance of it ####ing up, specially on stock internals. And I also think it wouldn't be worth getting larger injectors unless you are getting the nitrous or going turbo... but from what ive heard the stock eclipse injectors should be good enough for a small shot...

i was talking to a few ppl awhile back about how i need a larger altenator for my GS but I dont want to put out the money for the custom 200 amp alt i plan on getting in the future. I was told the gsx alt. cranked more amps.. is this true? if so will it fit on my GS? thanks.
yeah, i just read alot more about em a few mins ago. they are a nice upgrade it seems. make you get to higher rpms quicker because they usually weight alot less than stock pulleys, but i dont know about the altenator or battery, im a big car audio fan so i dont know how good it would do me.
i agree, if u want to keep it as a DD car than forget the nitrous, specially a 75 shot. i wouldnt go much over 50 to keep it reliable. u wont be pushing enough power to really need larger injectors. the headers and removing the cat is very reasonable, wont hurt the car, just the economy (eh who...
