    1G 1990 Eagle Talon radio

Check the FM antenna connection and it's and the radio ground connections. Or try cleaning the AM/FM switch if can get at it (spray electronic cleaner on it).

Starter Relay Connector Harness 2G OHM

Connector is here: https://www.dsmtuners.com/attachments/starter-door-lock-power-1-relays-98-99-jpg.160706/ But notice the relay is the left one - not the right one which the Mitsu FSM manual shows wrong.

Resolved 2G What is this part called?

That looks like the clutch pedal return spring Mitsubishi part #MB807307. Should be able to get one at a Mitsu dealer. If not I just happen to have a brand new one still in the Mitsu package (but it's only the spring - not the end pieces that hold it).

    2G No spark on 2 and 3

The CAS determines which spark plug pair to fire (CPS determines when) so look at the CAS and it's wiring. CAS sends signal to ECU which drives the PTU which drives the coil which drives the spark plugs.

    420A Code P0204

Ah yes, senior moment, sorry. So on the 2gNT injector 4's light-green/red wire (control signal) goes to PCM (aka ECU) pin 16. It's larger black/red wire (power), along with the other injectors black/red, goes to pin 5 of the A-74 connector, and then on to pin 15 of the A-82 jumper connector...

First what year and model do you have? Turbo or NT? We can't help you without knowing this. Then you say "The connector however doesn’t have continuity on the injector 4 wire from the power pin in the connector". From what power pin in what connector to where?Do you have a 2g turbo and are...

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Capacitors don't have to be sitting straight up or down, they just have to have both leads soldered into the board. Ya under the 33uF capacitor looks like may be some leakage. It probably should be replaced. If you can't do it look here (but check if they are still testing and repairing them)...

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

I hope you mean fuel pressure gauge. It would be nice to see if you still have fuel pressure in the fuel rail when your engine dies to rule out a fuel pressure problem.

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

I wouldn't spend $ on replacing the injectors yet, they are pricey and there's still many other things it can be. Don't be one of those who just keeps throwing $ at it replacing one thing after another guessing, and all that for nothing. Instead do testing, swapping, and experimenting to pin it...

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Perhaps but I doubt it. Moist air is usually colder and so is denser which gives better engine air/fuel performance (more of it) and so slightly more hp. So it's likely misleading you into thinking the ECU is cooler. My father who worked on WWII bombers said they would inject water into the...

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Yes. Do every test you can now (eg. compression, leak-down, fuel pressure, spark, etc). Once you've pulled the head it's too late, plus you've then changed things so testing for things like compression and leak-down won't mean anything - even if you put it back together (not to mention most...

420A Door lock actuator 1997 Eclipse GS

Here's that sensor he's talking about. It's fragile and can fall off or not mount correctly easily. And if the sides are bent out it will not stay on as it just clips on. I had to buy a new one from Mitsu.

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Here's how to do a compression test properly and completely. It's written for the turbo but will work for your NT also if you unplug the ASD relay (which removes power from the coils and injectors). http://www.vfaq.com/mods/wayback/compression.htm
  14. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Yep those are terribly low compressions and are (or definitely will be) a problem.
  15. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Yes re-test holding the accelerator pedal to the floor while cranking (so it gets normal air flow) while reading compression gauge on each cylinder one at a time with all plugs removed. Engine warmed up but just cranking with no way to start (eg ASD unplugged).
  16. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Probably and even if not, it's a major problem keeping the engine from running correctly. When you did the compression test where you holding the throttle butterfly (on throttle body) wide open while cranking (or holding the accelerator pedal to the floor)?

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

On the turbo you have to attach a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail (or fuel line) to read it. I assume the NT is the same - I doubt you can read it via the obd2 since I doubt there's any fuel pressure sensor on the NT engine. But then I've never had a NT.Yes on the NT my manual shows the...
  19. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Yes but does the fuel pressure stay at the rail for days (which it should) or does it bleed down in just minutes/hours (eg. due to a leaking fuel pressure regulator, or leaking fuel pump check valve, or leaking injectors, etc)? Also does the fuel pump maintain proper pressure while driving (or...
  20. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Ya that typically sounds like a lack of fuel problem. Have you checked fuel pressure (which should be maintained for days) or for a leaking fuel pressure regulator?I'm not an NT guy but it's wherever ECU pins 10 and 50 go.
  21. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

The NT pages of my 1999 manual shows pins 6 and 8 are tied together so your pin 8 probably has a wiring problem.Hold off on getting another ECU (since they are expensive) until you exhaust all other possibilities first. Also maybe getting a NT expert (eg. Doug99RS, Black'98DSM) to help with...

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Only if the ECU tells it to since it controls it. I would think the ECU tells it to stay on or stay off - not just click on for a second. But admittedly I'm more knowledgeable with the turbo engine then the NT (chrysler has their own ways). On the turbo the CEL goes on for a few seconds telling...
  23. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

Perhaps I'm wrong but all this keeps telling me the ECU is the problem. The ECU is the thing that should activate the ASD relay and it's not (you are forcing it). There's more than just activating the ASD relay to start the engine - the ECU itself must be in a starting mode (which I don't think...
  24. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

If you shorted the real ASD pin 8 to the real ASD pin 4 (assuming you know which is the real pin 8 and 4 since the connector is complicated), that's a complete short going to the ECU's pin 67. You may have just blown your ECU's output driver transistor on pin 67 if the ECU tried to turn on...
  25. luv2rallye

    Resolved 2GNT ECU failing Intermittently?

If the ECU is the culprit, nothing you do but fixing the ECU will fix it.The ASD relay does not "kill the engine due to failing parts". Instead it is the main relay that supplies power to the ECU (called a PCM on a 420a), coils, O2 sensors, and injectors. It would be dangerous to leave the ASD...

    420A 2g GS 420A radiator fans won’t turn on.

Unplug the 2 wire CTS (green-white and black-green wires). Now short those 2 wires together in the harness and run the engine. If fans don't come on your CTS is most likely bad (since it is suppose to supply near 0 resistance with high temps).

  34. luv2rallye

2G 97 eagle talon tsi - hard to start

Actually air is going into the tank which is normal.Low fuel pressure can be due to a leaky fuel pressure regulator (FPR) or bad fuel pump (eg. leaky check valve or it's not making enough pressure or just leaks back into tank when off) or another fuel leak somewhere. One sure sign a FPR is...
