The item 99 GSX Restoration and Build has been updated:Dumped the GST, got a GSX and making some serious progress on it. Built long block almost done, new turbo set up, coilovers on, other stuff fixed. Getting there lol

So I acquired a 1999 GSX. It's in decent shape, better than the GST I have actually. I'll be taking the engine and some other things I need out of the GST and then will be building into the GSX instead. It's a 1999 5 spd manual GSX. So goodbye GST, hello GSX lol.

Finally got a bunch of stuff delivered. Rods/pistons, bearings, arp everything, some fuel stuff, coilovers, gaskets, and some miscellaneous stuff. Slowly whittling away at the parts list lol.Taking the block and head to machine shop tomorrow. Hopefully will have a quick turn around time.

Looks good! I'm doing a 99 GST restoration myself but uh.. mine looks like I pulled it out of a lake hahaha.Luckily it's rust free so body and paint and of course built motor and stuff and she will be right.That thing is clean I wish I could have found one in that condition. Good luck!

Update. Got the head off, turbo out, intercooler out, all manifolds etc.Turbo is blown. Awesome.Head and block going to machine shop next week. Probably going to have to bored 1mm over to 86 just to be extra and ensure it's perfect.Now I need to find another complete turbo kit because...

Yea I had an Evo 8 (ended up selling it a few years ago and regrettted it ever since) so alot of stuff is compatible from what I'm seeing online. Everything is Evo/DSM so that makes my life easier haha. And yea I'm very familiar with Evoscan and if I read correctly, I can use ECUFlash as well...

Well I am grateful for it. The Evo forums are the same way. If it wasn't for that group I'd have pulled more of my hair out lol. I'm already reading through the threads on here and getting a lot of information. It's definitely making my life easier transitioning to a DSM. A lot of it is the same...
