Had a DUI many years back and the guy had about as many brain cells left as he had teeth.
I'll check the battery again and alternator to see if anything is faulty.
Come to think of it, ever since having the interlock put in, I've had nothing but problems with electrical gremlins. Does anyone have experience with this?
I changed out the spark plugs, put the car on a trickle charge (wouldn't start, dead battery symptoms) and took it for a test drive. I made it 0.6 miles before it died. Maybe a bad alternator? Well, I don't need a gym membership if I just push the thing around.
I did. Fuel pressure is within specs and 02 sensors replaced with catalytic converters. Possible fuel issue? Fuel pressure regulator maybe. May also be the coil pack, testing that next.
I've followed a few suggestions here, advice given to other, with a lot of good coming from it. I still have issues with the car sputtering while driving. It gets bad after 1-2 minutes of easy driving and high rpms don't help. I've replaced both cats but this did not help. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement engine? Here's the kicker, 4g64 bottom, 4g63 head. Doesn't need a turbo yet, I'll address that when the time comes. Do I need to buy both engines and put them together or can it bought? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I replaced my fuel filter, did a system clean and when I drove it home, the entire system was jolting. Almost like it was trying to die. The connections to starter are good and everything seems to be reading fine. Maybe a bad filter?
Has anyone here swapped a 5 speed for a 6 speed into a 98' eclipse spyder gs? Looking for options to keep the car drivable when the upgrades start happening.
I've used this site before but I just made a login so I'm technically new.
I have a 1998 Eclipse Spyder GS which has been a project car for longer than I care to mention. I'm trying to stay stock but the options for customization are really "pulling at my heart strings."
I guess time will tell...
