Don't think I've been around Tuners since this thread started. Just getting back into the DSM's. Building up a 1ga auto this time with a 16g to play with at cville and the street. Suprised the AR thread is this active. Good to see.
 I never said I run a 16g. Either way, I expect no magic. I just know that they will be able to pull the most out of my setup given its limitations, and yes I do plan to have logs recorded.
They make their living tuning cars. Why should they share what they are paid to do to the world? I feel paying them to tune my car is well worth the money especially after seeing what they have accomplished on pump gas.Nate, I'll see you on saturday.- Drew
I don't think I ever read anyone claiming the 16g the "god of all turbos." However, since you are trying to insinuate that the dyno numbers may be fudged, what do you say about the 135mph trap?
I am in Fayetteville :) Not sure what my profile says but I doubt its correct. I am on DSM number 4&5 :)There is a decent number of DSM's around, I guess, nothing like most other places. Most are in the central AR area, but there are a few in NWA ;)
Ok here's the deal, When accelerating my car seems like it falls on its face at around 4000-4500. Around that time, my timing seems to skyrocket to around 30-33 degrees and my egts at wot are around 780-800 degrees celcius. I know narrowband o2's mean nothing but they stay constant at .94. Also...
isn't this math?
and on the site you posted the curb weight for a 95 talon tsi fwd is 2955lbs so i guess we can ad 34 lbs to the difference
here you can see the curb weight for a 1988 CRX HF (lightest of crx's)

Well, once I got home tonight, I was letting the car cool down for a little while and I get out to hear a hissing sound. So I pop the hood and the little stud and nut to my Greddy type s bov is gone. It was set really soft because for some reason it hasn't been opening and it was fluttering when...
I never have understood the hate of America. I mean I know alot of people have that "small-man" complex, but come on, if it wasn't for us, the entire world would be speakin German or Japanese. End of story.
my .02
um...do u mean my mbc lines? i believe they are correct, if they were backwards would something like this happen? my mbc is a turboxs and the plug on the bottom i sent to the actuater, is that correct?
I just installed an evo III 16g in my 2g and i gots a problem with boost. It will only boost up to 11psi then wont go any higher whether i turn the mbc up or not and it doesn't creep either. Also, my type-s bov sounds wierd now, its now the usual sharp psssst sound, it sounds really quiet and...
I am a HUGE cubs fan, but I never doubted the Marlins. In fact, they scared me more than either of the AL teams. I would put money on it that the Marlins win the World Series again because neither AL team has the pitching to put up with the Marlins top 6. O well, the Cubs shall win the pennant...
allright, i just got done getting the compression and i am at 145 all round and i went to go get my check engine light ran w/ a scanner ( i have a test pipe so i wanted to see if another appeared for o2 sensor) but for some reason auto zone's obd2 scanner doesn't fit .... never heard of this one...
ok, i should be getting the compression and o2 checked tomorrow. My coolant is leaking and isn't boiling over into the overflow and my oil doesn't appear to be leaking onto the ground ( but possibly into the exhaust?) and about that combustion cleaner, where would i spray this? sorry i am a noob
there is only 87,000 miles on it, and i am not too sure how it was treated. The exterior and interior wasn't the greatest when i got it but it wasn't terrible
Ok, I have searched for this and went to vfaq.com to try and figure it out, but i still have some questions cause i would like to know for sure on what this is. Well, i am having a lot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and i am pretty sure that it is burnt oil because i am loosing more...
what type meters were these recorded on? kuz that makes a huge difference. And also about the crx, that is most likely the easiest car in the U.S. to get extremely loud, they are crazy :D
i used to be BIG into car audio competitions but i am now into performance since i got this car. :D but if you are wanting spl do not use sealed; and about bandpass, you prolly don't have enough room to have a proper size enclosure. (most prefab bandpass boxes are way too small and aren't good...
my friend, you need to do some research. Strokers, given the correct enclosure can sound amazing. In fact, they have won their share of Sound Quality World Championships in years past in IASCA and USACi.
but yes they can also get loud :D
