97 gst spider tyranny is being rebuilt. Was told Core would be needed.Now says it needs flashing. Does this sounds normal. He's had car 2 months.

97 mit stock everything has been restored 1000 miles on engine less than 60 on transmission. Tyranny still shifts hard going to 1st gear at low . Shop termed it adaptive adjustments as I drive. Must admit it's getting better/smoother shifting
