A little of both. so if it’s a cold start it will take that long or longer sometimes. with cranking for 5 seconds or so then waiting a while then cranking for another 5 seconds. the old owner said it was because of the gm sensor and the q45 Tb
Well the reason I asked about checking the ecu was because, for some reason this car takes so long to start for cold starts. (like 5-10min) so I had been trying different firing orders but the car wouldn’t start so it was getting frustrating. I did just get the car started on 3214
So I have a 98gsx with a 6bolt 4g63t. Trying to figure out my firing order but everything I’m reading says says it depends on the year of the ecu that is in the car. I have no idea what mine is I’ve only had the car for a few months and the previous owner has done all kinds of aftermarket...
I’m sure what the ptu is but I took each spark plug out and plugged them into the wires laid them out on a towel and had my wife crank the engine only one had no spark

Who do you guys use to clean your injectors? I have a set of injectors I ran e85 threw and let them sit for years because I blew the motor. Also would the fuel line need to be cleaned some how also? It’s -8an fuel line for use of e85. I’d hate to clean the injectors then just plug them up again...
The reason I ask about the cold starts is because I’m running a q45 throttle body on a Magnus manifold and e85 with a gm maf and it seems like every since all that my cold starts take for ever!!!

Mine don’t have the pivot bolt either. This may sound dumb but if one does the tension the other bolts tightens it down when you set the tension why would you need to pivot it?
That’s a good idea I’ll probably do that on my days off . Unfortunately I think it’s missing one of the bolts to tension the belt is their a vendor on here that I could purchase such a thing from before I look else where?

Ya the silver one? I mean I have a gsx I’m not sure how much easier that makes it but all in all I’m just looking to follow one on here. Maybe someday I might think more of doing it but as of now I’m not sure what the benefit of that swap would be I guess stronger better oem parts idk lol
