2G P0325 and P0505 codes. ECU not reading sensors. Maybe a bad ECU?

I have a 97 GS-T with a fresh full rebuild. The car has 502 miles and runs great except at idle. My idle is very eratic and usually elevated.I have a P0505 code as well as a P0325 (knock sensor malfunction). Knock sensor and IAC valve are both brand new and I have also tried other sensors in...

General New build 4G63 running lean

Uuuhhhhh I don't have that screw on my throttle body... or the spare throttle body that I have. How would that cause a lean issue though? Sorry for my ignorance.

We did calibrate the TPS while it was connected yes.

General New build 4G63 running lean

I thought the same. I actually just replaced all seals and gaskets on the throttle body a few days ago. Are you referring to the BISS screw? The one on top of the throttle body next to the TPS?

General New build 4G63 running lean

I recently got my car running after a full engine rebuild. AEM AFR gauge will read 14.5-15.5 ish on initial start up but the car will begin to raise idle speed to around 2k on its own after a few seconds. When this happens the AFR gauge pegs out and reads three flat bars (over 19:1). I can...

Resolved 2G K5T43988 fuel pressure solenoid

Does anyone know where I can get a fuel pressure solenoid (K5T43988)? I am under the impression that without it your car will throw a CEL and I live somewhere that requires emissions, so I have to at least have it plugged in. My car did not have one when I bought it and I am almost done...

    Oil plug missing

I recently got my block back from the machinist and they removed the oil plug on the transmission side of the block. Does anyone know what thread plug I need to replace it? Thanks.

    Bearing clearance hardware question

So this probably seems like a reaaaaallllllyyyyy stupid question but ARP hardware is expensive and I dont wanna F this up. I am getting ready to check my oil clearances for main and rod bearings and I am wondering if I should use the new ARP hardware that will be going in the car when I torque...

For Sale 1G FWD Manual Transmission

I have a 1G FWD manual trans that I purchased in the beginning of my build and didn't do any research on it (like a newb). I was told it was a 2G and took the guy at his word. I can't use it and don't really know the history of it so I don't want to ask much for it. It does have one axle. Throw...

    Craig's 97 GS-T

    2G New Engine Build Advice

I recently got my 7 bolt back from a shop that was supposed to be building with basically no work being done. The engine is completely torn down and the block has been inspected and measured. I have decided to complete the build myself as I feel confident that I can do it, plus it's time to take...

Unfortunately I don't have facebook lol I think I am going to take it to UMS tuning out in Mesa. I know a few people who have used them before and loved their work. The place it is at now is extremely unresponsive and has basically done nothing in almost 4 months.

    2G 3G sun visors in a 2G

I did a bunch of research on this and wasn't able to find a definitive answer so I figured I would post in case anyone else wanted to do this. Craig's 97 GS-T

I am STILL waiting on my engine build to be complete. I am actually going to be going to pick it up from the shop that has it and take it somewhere else. I feel like almost 4 months is more than enough time and patience to decide to go elsewhere. But in the meantime I have been able to get a lot...

420A Knock Sensor Connector and Oil Pressure Connector

I'm sure you can source them somewhere online but the amount of effort and the price would not be ideal IMO. I actually had the same two connectors missing on my car (among about 17 others). I was able to get them off of a Mitsubishi Lancer from the junkyard for next to nothing and they are in...

    Craig's 97 GS-T

So after discovering how much wiring had been cut and was wrong, I decided to make my first junkyard trip for GS-T. 97 GS-T. I have been unf*@$ing all of the wiring on my car that I discovered when I tore everything down. 1995 CAS? What am I looking for?

I do. And that is the way I was leaning as well. After looking back at some info from when I purchased the engine, the car it came out of was a 1996 Spyder 2.4 that was converted to a 4G63T. I can only imagine that the engine was originally from a 2GB and they just left the CAS on there and put...

1995 CAS? What am I looking for?

Guess I get to be the guy to revive an old thread here but I recently purchased a 7 bolt 4G63 (I am unsure of what year car it came out of). I am in the process of rebuilding it and discovered that I have the 2GB style CAS on the passenger side of the intake cam as well as the trigger plate cam...

    2G Fuel level sensor help!!!

That's one way to do it! I had trouble with the fuel gauge in my 67 mustang for years (and those don't have a low fuel light or a trip). The 5 gallon container of gas in my trunk became my best friend many times haha.

    2G Fuel level sensor help!!!

The light should still work. I have never messed with the one in a DSM specifically but I know most others are activated once the float reaches a certain point on the sweep of the arm. This would still be working correctly as long as the float was not full of fuel. The rust is causing the sender...

    2G Cold air duct

@TK's9d2TSi All the small little nooks and crannies!!! I spent about two hours yesterday cleaning my throttle body. Man was it nasty. Lots of Q-tips haha I haven't made it to the front cover yet but it will be coming shortly.

What did you do to your DSM today?

I've been getting a lot of miscellaneous stuff done on my car while waiting for the short block to come back. 2G Fuel level sensor help!!!

If it is covered in rust it may be changing the resistance values that are being sent to the gauge from the sender. I'm assuming the gauge is reading empty? This would make sense if the unit is covered in rust as stated.

    Shipping Delays at STM?

Oddly enough, the 16G install kit I bought from STM was an ExtremePSI one and that's what came within a few days. Everything else I bought was Mitsubishi parts (I should have just went to the dealer in hindsight) and those took forever. You would think that the distribution chain with Mitsubishi...

    Shipping Delays at STM?

I had a similar issue towards the end of last month. I ordered a few different parts and received some really fast and the rest took over three weeks to get. It seems to be some sort of distribution issue with their suppliers. I made many attempts to contact them as well but never got an answer...

    Shipping Delays at STM?

I ordered a few different thing from STM back on May 26th. I got my 16G install kit withing a couple of days but it took over three weeks to get the rest of the parts I ordered. It definitely seems to be a distribution issue and not necessarily something that STM is mismanaging.
